Polls dont mean anything because the way you ask the question matters more sometimes than the actual answer.

1. Do you support the right of two same sex people in love to have thier marriage recognized by the state?

2. Do you support the traditional definintion of marriage, that is between a man and a woman?

Notice both are basically the same question in reverse, but both are positive. I guarnatee you will get overlap if you ask them in a poll a few days apart.

Also Prop 8 actually PASSED. Thats the real will of the people, in the ballot box.

YOU havent read my previous posts. I have no issue with marriage being redefined via the legislative process. What I dont see is it as a right to be imposed by the courts. To me the DOMA ruling was right on soverginity grounds of state vs. federal. what was wrong is Prop 8 should have be ruled consitutional by the same grounds, that it is a state issue not a federal one.

Your position is the ends justify the means, which is the basis of most of the horrible things that have happened in history.
