To me, if a parent is single, it is their responsibility to provide their child with the missing parent and if both parents are of the same gender, the other gender is still missing and if homosexuality were the way that it is supposed to be, there would only be one gender walking this planet instead of two.

Many lesser situations exist where children are raised. This conversation is about which is called "marriage" and which isn't. The definition is man/woman because of father/mother.
