When debating an issue, leave out all parties and all politicians.

Example: High cost of fuel:

What we need now, is for American oil companies to increase production.

See how easy that was? No childish name calling. No crazy conspiracy theory that you found on some crazy conspiracy website full of half truths. Just your solution to fixing it.

At very high oil prices you know the oil companies want to produce more.
What is stopping them?
Risk analyses, Lawsuits and government regulations.
Risk analyses: Look what happened to KeystoneXL, they lost $billions on a whim by Joe Xiden.
So why risk losing $billions on energy when Xiden will pull the rug out from under you with an EO?
We need Xiden to undo his stupid "war on energy" EOs.

A good person cannot compromise with evil and still consider himself generally a good person. All politicians are gold worshipping self-aggrandizing evil vermin. With that absolute truth out of the way, let us take a brief look at America today and the most vitriolic political divide in our nation's somewhat long history. Americans who consider themselves good people or people who love their nation, their God, their nation's history, culture and human life cannot, under any circumstance, go with the flow of such overtly evil political platforms as abortion, censorship or limitation of free speech, critical race theory, gender theory, anti-human/anti-science transgender homosexual pseudo-religion, the mutilation of young minds and bodies in the name of political wokeness/correctness, the rewriting of American history, the public persecution of Christians, attacks on our Second Amendment right and many, many other base evil political ideologies worshipped by the "other" side of the political aisle. To negotiate or compromise with any of the aforementioned platforms or ideologies is to damn one's own conscience, mind, heart and body to a special living hell.

Negotiation at all is a key problem with today's politics. What's right and pro-human existence has always been the same. Rather than negotiate we should crusade.

Oil pricing is priced like stocks, not like the commodity it is.
So if there is a threat to supply (a war breaks out) the price of the barrel goes up not based on current supply, but a possible low supply. ALSO - like stocks, messaging matters. So when your message is about reducing supply, and demonizing suppliers - that also drives up prices.
To positively effect oil prices you have to do two things:
1) Increase supply. Doesn't have to be an immediate increase, again - oil prices are based on futures, but if you open up a supply - this absolutely lowers costs.
2) You work with suppliers, not demonize them. You open up communication lines - not close them. You use your position and wealth to influence suppliers.

- OR - You can hire Tik Tok people and tell everyone to buy battery powered cars that get their electricity from fossil fuels also.

Discussing the reason you believe differently is part of the negotiations. There's no reason those issues can't be discussed in a ration adult like fashion.
Violence is for people without the mental capacity to discuss or negotiate.

The way we've always done it, and it always worked, was to reduce our consumption. And there's part of society who start buying EV's, hybrids and solar panels. When the oil companies profits are reduced, they correct themselves. That's the market force.

I can't think of it happening any other way in the last several decades. All the way back to W. Bush.

Sorry, I thought this was a serious thread.

Biden ran as a centrist, to centrists, and promised the progressives anything they wanted to do. HE's old, and there's only so much any young healthy potus can attend to (WJC and Obama) and his chief of staff lied about Manchin, and so did Schumer. But he's doing a heckova job on Ukraine. How he exposed Putins war plans and pushed europe into standing up. And now he's trying not to blow things up more.

Like Mayor Pete will take hold of this and shake out the trees of loons?

But you're right. There is MORE drilling activity starting up. OPEC jacked up gas prices before Putin made the clusterfk of all clusterfks. The EU can be a long term customer for LNG. But if Biden would just open up leasing without any carbon tax, it'd help. He's lost that battle in court anyway. I can't see how anyone in his admin can separate leases that actually impact scenic land or native americans. Maybe he needs a "czar" like Heitkamp.

And with respect to the OP, I don't mean this politically. It's just policy.

You failed the challenge.

In a smaller way yes.
But apathy is the real problem.
It isn't even close.
Yeah, but the apathy is driven by the entrenched nature of the two parties, the inability of either party to front a decent candidate. Biden or Trump? Jesus fuck, if that's the "choice" let's just set everything on fire and have a party.

You failed the challenge.
no I didn't. Your op is flawed. You can't ignore that one party is in charge of an admin.

But there's no excuse for people who say "its bidens fault we import oil or don't drill as much as we did before covid."

It is what it is. he allowed the progs to run energy and he pissed off the saudis and UAE, for no reason. Every admin makes mistakes. Acknowledging that is NOT PARTISAN. It's being a realist rather than a snot nosed pussy starting a bs thread.

My point is, America is devolving more, not because who is President, but what choices people make everyday that negatively effects everyone else.

Cost benefit analysis dictates moving forward cautiously
