A Call to Arms for Europe: Americans are not alone in viewing Trump as a Traitor

Putin offered a peace deal prior to the invasion. He then agreed to another one in which Ukraine got back all it's lost territory in March of 22. The only people turning their back on peace so far has been the west and the US.
Putin rejected a peace deal.

Care you give links to all these peace deals he offered?

It is hard to tell if trump is just completely owned by Poootin or if he is just that stupid. But it really does not matter. The US appears to be aligned with dictators. If NATO has to take up arms against Russia, I wonder which side the US will take? Any thoughts?
Your "Russia. Russia, Russia" conspiracy theory was a failure years ago.

Give it a rest, bunky.

Sure

The leader of NATO has bragged about turning this deal down.

You aren't actually denying that a peace was there to be had in March/April of 2022 and the US and the West scuttled it are you?

Confirmed by Ukrainian officials.

Someone should care if Trump's confused about what a dictator is, you obviously don't.
Does it really matter if Zelensky is a dictator or not? He's there because the US put him there/allows him to stay there so what's the difference? You act as though US foreign policy gives a shit about "democracy".

Some Americans, myself included have long viewed Trump as a Traitor to American values, and more. We are not alone.

A Call to Arms for Europe

This viral speech brutally captures how U.S. allies see Trump’s America
That view of Donald Trump’s America was brutally encapsulated last week by a centrist French senator named Claude Malhuret, who noted that until now, “never in history has a U.S. president capitulated to the enemy.” In a speech at the French Senate assessing Trump’s alignment with the Kremlin, turn against Ukraine and the implications for Europe, he said: “We were at war with a dictator. Now we are fighting a dictator backed by a traitor.”
Wow! This is unprecedented.

‘Trump’s message is that being his ally serves no purpose, because he will not defend you.’
Europe is at a crucial juncture of its history. The American shield is slipping away, Ukraine risks being abandoned, and Russia is being strengthened. Washington has become the court of Nero: an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers, and a buffoon on ketamine tasked with purging the civil service.
This is a tragedy for the free world, but it’s first and foremost a tragedy for the United States. [President Donald] Trump’s message is that being his ally serves no purpose, because he will not defend you, he will impose more tariffs on you than on his enemies, and he will threaten to seize your territories, while supporting the dictators who invade you.
The king of the deal is showing that the art of the deal is lying prostrate. He thinks he will intimidate China by capitulating to Russian President Vladimir Putin, but China’s President Xi Jinping, faced with such wreckage, is undoubtedly accelerating his plans to invade Taiwan.

This is a warning shot across the bow of the American Polity. Any damage done will be very difficult to repair. It could take a decade r more after Trump leaves office to correct what many of us see as an American retreat.

Sooooo, not allowing the American taxpayer to be fleeced by European socialists is treason.....

That tells us all we need to know about you Marxists.

Nothing, cause they didn’t

Reagan didn’t sell out to Russia.

Trump has been doing it since 2015 in politics, and since the 1990”s in business.

He is openly aligning himself with Putin’s Tsing goals of giving Ukraine away and for undermining NATO.

you’re cheering for Trump’s sell out to the Russians.

No he didn’t,
Obama did

How’s Trump doing it?

Does it really matter if Zelensky is a dictator or not?
If it didn't matter why would trump raise it? make the claim at all?

I totally agree with you on that point, but Zelensky isn't a dictator, he's other things of course but not a dictator - or is he? :auiqs.jpg:

It doesn't give a shit nor did I say or even imply that it did.

I think somewhere in there you said Europe was going to start defending themselves instead of relying on the US. Good. They should have been doing that all along.

Zelensky imprisons his political opponents, canceled the elections, and has taken over the media.

Sounds pretty dictatorial to normal people.

Good, so that's your reason for calling him a dictator, OK.

Regarding elections; Ukraine's constitution actually prohibits elections under martial law which Ukraine is under, why did you think Ukraine's constitution is the same as the United States? can you please explain?

When you've done that please explain why the Trump Administration doesn't know this? might there be other basic well known facts that the administration doesn't know? is that inexcusable ignorance good or bad for the United States?

I've been vocally opposed to the US support for Ukraine for many years, long before the Russian invasion. So on that narrow point I agree with Trump, the US should not be aiding Ukraine. But trump doesn't seem to have a goal, he seems to be fretting over "minerals" and "rare earths" neither of which are much use at all in Ukraine (they have more or less nothing to offer when it comes to rare earths).

If trump simply said "no more military aid" and be done with it, I'd be actually almost respecting trump, but he isn't, he's dithering and playing games, his goals are unclear and so how can I support those goals?

:icon_rolleyes:

Where does the Ukie constitution provide for banning of opposition political parties and jailing of political rivals?
