Here is an example. If the anti-abortion crowd concentrated on doing everything they could to reduce abortions without taking away a woman's right to an abortion, they would get a lot more support. If instead of trying to completely ban abortion, they tried to limit it to pregnancies of less than 15 weeks, they would get more support. What they do now is drive anyone without their identical views out of the party.
