A 14- Day Blitz

After day 9 of this 14-day straight cardio blitz workout, I have noticed two things:

1. My stomach is now flat. I have not done any sit ups nor any muscle toning. My stomach is now flat from 100% cardio sweating.

2. My breathing is so much better. It is clear and I can feel each inhale and exhale from my nose throughout my entire body. My breathing feels clear and cleaner.

Not sure I mentioned this earlier but for each workout I wear one of those Gold's Gym waist trimmers of which I haver several of them. I"m able to wash them in the washing machine and dry flat. That may have also helped contribute to getting my tummy flat-the extra heat/sweat from that.

Without pictures all of this is meaningless.

I'll update the 14-day blitz at this time.

I ended up cutting the 14-day blitz of straight cardio on the track; short. On day eleven I began feeling dizzy later that evening after that workout. On day 12 I felt stomach cramps while on the track, so I cut the workout down to one mile and stopped.

I did not do day any more cardio workouts on days 13 nor day 14. I rested and did nothing on day 13, and switched to muscle toning on day 14. I was losing a lot of weight, water, important minerals, electrolytes, etc... fast; maybe too fast. Those minerals help your organs, nerves, and muscles work well. Which may have caused the dizziness and stomach cramp on days 11 and 12.

Modify
While I still believe one must turn on the fat-burning process by working out day after day. What I would do different in making modifications to the 14-day Cardio is set it up for a 5-day cardio blitz. Followed by two days of either rest or muscle toning, but no cardio on those two days. Then back to cardio for another 5 day cardio blitz repeating two days of no cardio.

It was just a matter of learning what my body could, and could not do, and how far I could take it. Now for a week of muscle toning only.

Interesting. I can't run distance anymore but I do an alternating walk "sprint" thing 3 times a week. The alternating gets my heart rate up without bothering my hip.

Hubby and I got a step counter last month.
I've been walking now for a couple years, was doing all kinds of digging gardening, now I lift weights to control diabetes, no meds just workout to lower sugar. I take baby aspirin and that's it unless bp is high then I take half of Amlodipine. I am too thin from diet to keep carbs down plus I'm not fond of meat like hubby is.

I just went on Amoldipine to bring my bp down. So you just take it every once in awhile not every day for bp?

Don't listen to me, everyone else except my daughter takes it daily. But yes I can't handle side effects of most meds so I take as little as possible. I'm in my mid 70s and I've never taken any meds on a regular basis. They have tried to put me on them for decades but my system is not med friendly.
My friends ,in-laws family all take their meds as prescribed sometimes take meds for medication side effects. I'm very fortunate so far. Most of them do just as well as I do.
I do take a baby aspirin daily for these 2 stents the liars put in me 5 years ago. They tried to put me on a few others for stents but I said no.

Thanks for the feedback! Good for you, I don't like meds either and the low dose already brought the BP down to normal range. I don't see taking these for very long.

Starting tomorrow we will doing a 14- day blitz of straight cardio workouts. For fourteen days straight including the weekends... intense, heart rate rising, complete sweat pouring workouts.

Everyone is welcome to join in. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
Mort would join yas but he'll be busy eating cake

I alreasy do walk everyday and workout with 25lb weight. Not much but it brings down glucose very well. Plus I dance all day off and on.
I'm in with you on the workout. I honestly don't think I'd be here if not for all the spent energy.
I figure everybody can do some kind of workout. Even in wheelchair.
I once danced with a guy in a wheelchair, he could boogie in that thing.
I also got a man going online about 15 years ago. He couldn't believe how much better he felt physically and mentally.

My total workout was:

1. 14-day Blitz (I completed 12 days of it) Took two weeks.
2. A week of muscle toning - completed all of that.
3. Fourth week I head back to the track on Monday (7/8/2024) and do the old fashioned cardio on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and muscle tone on Tuesday and Thursday.

Hopefully the park will be open at some time on Monday despite Hurricane Beryl. If the track is closed Monday, I will adjust by starting cardio on Tuesday.
