80s retro

The other top 40 hit from Nu Shooz...

Point of No Return - Nu Shooz

...and, yes, I just recently bought some new shoes. Thanks for askin'.

The 2025 40th anniversary mix of Phil Collins 1985 No Jacket Required album sounds superb. You get a DTX mix, a 24bit PCM mix and a Dolby Atmos mix.

Some of the songs on that album were a bit too poppy for my liking, but the album itself, like most of Phil's stuff back then, had that 80s sound that I like so much and that Phil did so well.

The updated sounds fantastic and you can hear things you couldn't hear on the original release, but unfortunately the youtube upload doesn't do it an ounce of justice...

Flipping through the music threads, I noticed that nobody remembered Phil Collins 75th birthday. I tell ya. Some people...

Anyway, this little banger was the first song that played on the radio on my first car. I didn't have any tapes yet...

Phil was definitely totally 80s. He had a great sound.

The Eighties were arguably the best decade of my life. I loved that period. The music, the TV shows (Miami Vice, Crime Story), a terrific President (Ronald Reagan), a terrific sense of optimism (I was a newlywed with my first home purchase).
What a delightful time.
