Nah, it's 80s. T'was his comeback record of sorts (post disco era).
Released in 1983 internationally. Made Top 20 in America by March of 1984.

I only remember it from one of the old Miami Vice Episodes.

It appeared in the episode "Stone's War". Which was the second episode of the third season.

This was also the episode featuring the debut of the Ferrari Testarossa in the series.




It centered around Nicaragua and US backed Contras who were actually CIA operatives posing as Sandinista rebel fighters.

It's just what happened to be playing on my random spinner, so that's why I posted it. I wasn't really trying to stand for something or anything like that.

But, yes, the lyrics do certainly ring true in scope.
