It is indeed a shame that we in this country continue to elect obstructionists.

And what are your beloved Rs doing about this?
Planning more tax cuts for the billionaires no doubt.

It's all they know.
I received a tax cut from Trump and I’m not a billionaire. Care to explain?
Yet based on the recent ProPublica report, it’s possible that you had a higher effective tax rate than the top 25 billionaires in the country. So instead of giving you a tax cut, what Trump really should have given you is access to those billionaires armies of attorney’s, accountants, financial advisors and lobbyists.

So much for our “progressive” tax code, huh?

Hahahahahaha. You have nothing.

And the Ds will gladly support that.

You do know Joe kept Don’s tax cut right?
Not true at all. Biden’s tax plans are well known.
Yes, Biden’s “tax plans” are well known, they’re well known as “smoke and mirrors”, he just wants to raise top rates without doing much of anything to address all the means in our monstrosity known as the Federal Tax Code that those exposed to those top rates use to avoid paying them.

Time after time...Prog politicians do not give the lower classes total tax cuts and deductions. the lower classes get partial stuff with many groups. Progs use inflation as a massive tax increase. There are many levels of stupid in everything. Including me. There are millions of people and millions more who went t schools and are at lower grade levels of education and have high school degrees. They vote Prog. There are millions more and millions more beyond that whose educations are disgraceful who vote Prog. We spent the money. Several times over for terrible results. Now we are heading for suffering. And it is deserved.

LOL, That’s all YOU got? and you accuse me of having “nothing”, sheesh you don’t seem to be able to formulate anything close to a credible argument even by accident.

Next time try to bring something more effective than a plastic spoon to a gun fight, K?

That's really quite incredible. Less than 150M working people out of 330M have to pay for their own health care and also these 80M others' health care.

A family of two has to pay for the health care of three.
It’s actually worse than that, my spouse works at a health care provider and the problems that they are having with Medicaid patients overconsumption of service are causing massive problems with their practice. They routinely schedule appointments and don’t show, they schedule appointments and show up not for treatment but just expecting prescriptions, they refuse to follow treatment plans, they abuse the system in every way possible. Of course that doesn’t mean that all Medicaid patients are like that but it’s reached such epidemic proportions that it’s costing too much money and causing problems seeing other patients that the practice is considering just dropping their contracts with Medicaid, they can’t afford it anymore and it’s negatively impacting all the other private insurance and Medicare patients.

So the bottom line is, the taxpayers aren’t just paying for the Medicaid patients to get treatment, they’re paying for all the WASTE that Medicaid patients are incurring along with paying for getting worse service. Of course Medicaid is administer by the State so this will vary from State to State but I suspect it’s pretty wide spread.
This is the fault of government. Their failure to properly manage and control the program allows people to abuse it.
That’s a big part of it, the lions share of the problem comes from the fact that when you make a good or service “free” for the consumer, over-consumption and thus market failures inevitably follow.

So compared to the rest of the industrialized world the US just isn't smart enough to pull it off.

Pretty good indication we need universal healthcare like the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, Israel, Canada, Austrailia and the Gulf States.
What do you do about the problem of medical care over-consumption and under-supply resulting in price inflation that’s already happening under existing government health insurance systems? What about the costs associated with implementing such a system, just go further into debt to fund it?

The countries/continents you pointed out don’t carry our current debt and structural deficit burdens, not to mention the fact that they’re in part relying on U.S. obligations to provide for their national defense and thus carry a lower burden in that department as well. They also have their own scarcity issues of medical care along with the fact that they enjoy lower drug prices thanks the fact that American consumers shoulder the lions share of the burden of pharma R & D costs for them.

“Universal care” isn’t the silver bullet that some make it out to be, there are A LOT of questions that need to be addressed before traveling down that road.

Do you know what cost shifting is? Have you noticed private insurance premiums going up? You are already paying for seniors, indigents and million dollar premature infants.

Its all about priorities or maybe we really aren't smart enough or compassionate enough to pull it off.

The democrats won't rest till it is 100% of Americans, except for those in government. No, they will have better.
And what are your beloved Rs doing about this?
Working a job and paying for our own healthcare.
What if you haven't got and can't get a job?

According to what’s currently going on in the U.S. with respect to health care, NO we’re not “smart enough to pull it off”. Government can’t even figure out a viable system to provide efficient and accessible health care to Americans under the poverty line at a reasonable cost let alone to every American Citizen.

Heck we can’t even provide for effective vaccine distribution during a CRISIS as evidenced by the lack of accessibility to vaccine for poor urban areas and rural communities.

The laws of economics don’t suddenly get suspended because the morons in Washington decide to implement a massive new “program”, they have to be accounted for and the one that is most pertinent in this case is “supply and demand”, so far I haven’t seen any of our D.C. criminal conspiracy come even close to addressing that one with respect to their proposed “universal health care” schemes.

Yeah, I’m intimately familiar with the fact that costs can be shifted, however shifted costs don’t mean that those costs VANISH, they’re still there and what you’re proposing doesn’t solve the problem since it doesn’t address the root cause of rising costs, it EXACERBATES them by further disconnecting the consumer from the cost of service and encouraging OVER-CONSUMPTION, insufficient supply meet artificially induced increased demand.
