Well surprise surprise. The gun he used to shoot those children came from Charles Ford, a 56-year-old Black male from Shreveport. Ford had prior felony convictions, which legally barred him from possessing any weapons, and has been arrested. Ford was given the weapon by the original purchaser, a black female.

Ford also claims that Elkins had stolen the gun from his truck around March 9, 2026. Ford claimed he confronted Elkins about the missing weapon, but when Elkins became aggressive, Ford "let it go" and did not report the theft to authorities.

Their objective is to make it as hard as possible for the law abiding to exercise their right to keep and bear arms, hopefully to the point where no one will bother.
