Covid-19 hospitalizations are once again rising in the United States.

Among the 30-plus states that have seen increases in Covid-19 hospitalizations over the last two weeks, six stand out.

Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York and Illinois have accounted for the majority of the country’s increase in hospital beds filled, according to an NBC News analysis of U.S. Department of Health and Human Services data.

But what about deaths?

Michigan is number one, Pennsylvania number two, but then it's Tennessee, Kentucky.

Ohio, Indiana have a Republican governor, majority House and Senate too.

Pennsylvania has a majority Republican House and Senate.

Also these are northern states, things like this tend to get worse when it gets colder.

You're looking for patterns, but you're doing it on such a simplistic level that it doesn't hold water when you get slightly deeper in.

What is clear is that there is more to the Covid story than vaccinating everyone from 1 to 92 years old. Why is there so little push for non vaccine treatments? Wouldn't we want to use all the tools in the toolbox? You would almost think that Biden and Fauci are doing what Big Pharma wants them to do.

So, now deaths are important? Before it was all about the 'cases'.

So, when we factor in racial homicide, we find that blue cities lead in all categories!

Deaths have always been important, with cases of covid among the vaccinated are getting higher but hospitalizations and deaths aren't.
The unvaccinated are the ones that are creating those.

Before it was all about the 'cases'.
When there was one variant, now there are three, maybe four, still important to track the spread of the latest, notice how they are only tracking Omicron variant, all the rest are an afterthought.

So, when we factor in racial homicide, we find that blue cities lead in all categories!

You are looking at this all wrong. If you look at political leanings it makes no sense as to why we have having spikes of Covid, but if you look at the official state birds it all starts to make senes.

The states with birds that are colored red or orange are the ones having the spikes.

Idiots.

Both of you nice try but deaths need to looked at deeper and broken down to race, sex and also their income bracket…

Then we must look at rural, suburb and urban for patterns and ask this simple question why is the messaging failing to get to all sides and not just one?

Now you will point to the OP attempt to troll the left while forgetting the left has been trolling the right by making the false claim that Trump voting base is the only ones refusing to get vaccinated when data has shown Hispanics and Blacks were lagging behind in getting vaccinated, and yet the left ignores this, so why?

only NY and ILL are blue states. Mi has a senate maj of republicans since 1986 and the governor has no choice in the matter.

Cases were more important early on, because they were a precursor to hospitalizations and deaths.

Now that half the country is vaccinated, and those vaccinated will likely not need hospitalization and unlikely to die, the case count of covid infections is not necessarily an indicator for hospitals, or their worrying about being overwhelmed.

Cases are still important, showing us which areas are hotspots to avoid....

Plus, those who catch covid and don't die, that are not vaccinated, basically add to the count of those vaccinated...or those protected from severe illness in the future for new covid variants to come. Gives an estimate of how close we may get to a herd immunity status...

Good news this morning that the vaccines neutralize the omicron variant as well....

yeah because the virus doesn't like Republican governors.... exactly why.

Not really vaccinated people are becoming the problem. Even the heart association has come out and said the vaccine has created heart problems.

It’s not trolling to point out that the largest groups of vaccine hesitancy people are Trump supporters or right wingers.

No one ignored hesitancy in minority groups and it was a significant publicity push to get the vaccine out to these communities.

But yeah, the right decided to make vaccines a political issue and now we have to deal with the consequences of if.

The heart association did put out a memo about the vaccines and heart problems. Sucks to be a slave to your government.
Let’s see the memo you’re referring to.

I just read a massive report about heart problems with the vaccine. Let me ask you a question. How common do you think heart problems from the vaccine are?

What I've read they do occur, but we don't know exactly because the government is covering it up and the pharmaceutical companies are trying to have 55 years to release their studies.
