Despite this, it's one of the worst performing school districts in the country. I'd say the residents keep voting for the mediocrity Vivek criticized, but this is flat out failure.

I've tutored several kids in such programs. Sooner or later the truth comes out that the pricey private schools "accepted" them because they had athletic prowess or the school wanted to pad their "diversity" numbers. The kids know what's up.
