48 F in Vegas

Oh my god is it azz cold
When it dropped to 65 , I was not happy
Now it’s getting near freezing

Need big winter coat , gloves and hat

Utterly not fun

That's balmy compared to much of America that can reach -40 and is already well below freezing.
On Vancouver Island we are quite happy and comfortable with temps around 4 or 5C.
Buy some skis or ice skates and head for the mountains!
