You have the entire worlds knowledge at your fingertips, yet you refuse to take any of that in unless it confirms your own bias.

We knew very quickly that Hinkley was trying to impress Jodie Foster.
We knew very quickly that Fromme was trying to call attention to the Manson Family case
We knew very quickly that Oswald was a hard-core communist.

Yet there persists conspiracy theories about each one of them. Why?

Yet here we are, and no one can tell me why a kid from a right-wing family of gun nuts would try to take out Trump. Unlike Oswald's family, which couldn't wait to break bad on him after he was dead, everyone is mute on Crooks.

First you have to know why conspiracy theories pop up....In most cases it is because the human mind wants closure to things like this. So, the information that is missing is filled by what the person THINKS happened...That doesn't make it true.

There is plenty out there that shows that Crooks was indeed conservative leaning, up until a point, where his social media changed. He became disillusioned with Trump, and started getting darker with his limited posting...Family members told of him becoming more isolated, and resistant to his parents beliefs. The simple conclusion is that he was indoctrinated online from friends and possibly teachers that he looked up to...That's my opinion....But, it did happen, and he did try to assassinate Trump period.

I don't want to hear about your family problems.

I don't consider it a problem....I love my son, and his wife. I don't agree with them politically, but none the less I raised him to make up his own mind about politics...I am confident that in time he will come around...Most rational people do....
