Thats hilarious, 1812. ha ha , the militia really started fighting in 1630s and they were available till the early 1900s.
But that wasn’t my question. After the early 1900s when the national guard units were formed, there were never any militia units fighting in any wars. Why ? Because officially, they were the militia units but need more advanced modern warfare training which included federal funding to be dual purpose. Do your research.
Rell us the names of any of the militia units who have done anything to support the military while keeping faith with their state and regional militia obligations..
