I don't know where you get off thinking our military just randomly kills people. It is offensive and you should know better.

The next time a war starts and you wonder why it takes years to build a submarine and you are told that there aren't enough qualified welders to do the pressure hull, maybe you will understand. They were all laid off and now work as greeters at Walmart in flyover country. Even the money isn't good enough to make them uproot their families again and move back to CT or VA.

When we brought the battleships out of mothballs before the Gulf War, we had to go out and recruit older veterans and retirees to run the damn things. We have pilots flying aircraft now that their grandfathers flew, and in the case of the B-52, it is probably great grandfathers.

Google isn't telling you that the 2015 report is basically 2 trillion dollars out of date. That is problematic for you because the people that you expect to pay your benefits will live to 2089, and believe it or not they may not like the possibility of you getting benefits at the expense of them not getting them.

You give the quote too much credit. There is no evidence that the money in SS has been stolen. There hasn't been anything to 'steal' in more than 7 years. Of the surplus you think was stolen, most of it is interest on past borrowing, ie it is the residue of what you think was stolen. There is so little excess cash in SS if the government took every penny of excess cash it would not pay for the subsidies that went to the system. The idea that the money was stolen is close to silly.
