Boulder Police Chief Mark Beckner says 50-year-old Robert Montgomery of rural Boulder County had a .9 mm Smith & Wesson handgun in his hand when found dead by police. He says Montgomery appeared to have suffered a single gunshot wound.
Beckner says Montgomery had recently purchased the handgun on May 7, and his writings indicated he was upset over a recent change in commission and bonus policies at Boulder Stove & Flooring, located at 2887 30th St., where the shooting occurred.
