Makes sense, but cutting the supply is a bit of a pipe dream. You could probably cut 50% of the supply, and it would have little to no effect, since such a small amount goes such a long way.

I'm not saying we shouldn't make the effort, I am just saying that we should recognize the limits of that effort in solving the problem.

I don't understand why China has gotten a pass on supplying the Fentanyl precursors to Mexico. Trump should threaten to drop a MOAB on a small city in China to even the score. Just kidding but it would be justified.

Whee back to the Clinton Era policies that failed massively. No, cut the supply first, levy massive penalties on China until they STOP shipping precursors. We can be working on treatment and education at the same time but the emphasis has to be on China, Mexico, Canada and life imprisonment for those involved on the supply side.

That's understandable. But for everyone like that kid, there are innocent people who are in severe physical pain looking for a cheap pain killer and they end up dying from Fentanyl poisoning. There are many different faces to the mass Fentanyl poisoning that has been going on for years.
