They always say it is darkest before dawn. Maybe the nightmare of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid destroying the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. economy, the world economy, and a whole lot more was the catalyst needed to wake up the American people and prove once and for all that liberalism is a cancer that always ends in collapse like Detroit.

Although I don't like to be lumped with any group, I lean Libertarian.
The fight for the individual's right to his own life & property is of paramount importance to me.

Domestically, libertarianism will succeed if we can weather the initial effects. As far as foreign policy goes, libertarianism demands that we ignore human nature and trust everyone with aims to destroy us both economically and physically.

"libertarianism demands that we ignore human nature and trust everyone with aims to destroy us both economically and physically"
That's simply not true. Prove it.

as a long-time libertarian who's studied the libertarian philosophy at length, I believe I can truthfully say that the second half of your statement is a complete and baseless wrong-headed crock of shit...

Sorry__ But America is not the answer to other countries problems. You are buying the propaganda that power brokers would want you to buy. In fact, America is only a huge part of the problem. We get into wars for the wrong reasons and create the wrong outcomes.

No America is the solution to our problems. I could care less about anyone else. I will allow you to chew on the geopolitical landscape for a bit, and perhaps, pull on that string before I press this further. Think of trade routes and disputed land holdings. Think those who wish to do us economic and physical harm and how they're expanding their spheres of influence. Think about the fact that unsavory behavior is the international standard., and thus, the rule. Then choose who you want to be dominating in any region given that someone isn't going to let a vacuum stand empty. Libertarianism in foreign policy is a pipe dream.

Yep should never had attacked Germany since they never attacked the US.

Should have never gone to Korea based on UN mandates.

American govt. is not built to get into wars for the right reasons at the right time. That's just reality. Did we do good in WWII? Yes. But we only got involved when it was politically suicidal not to do so. Had we acted in the right fashion at the right time, tens of millions of lives would have been saved.

Korea didn't accomplish anything worth the price. Thousands of Americans dying for other people's freedom? Sorry, but again, this war was about imperialism and furthering the military complex.

Iraq and Afghanistan were disasters for obvious reasons. Even the first Persian Gulf War was conducted in the wrong fashion, and again Americans needlessly died so that millionaires could get there's.

Back to 1789 we go. No regulations, no human rights, little funding for science or r@d...

No reforms for education.

This is no plan if we wish to remain a first world power.

No human rights? Don't be an idiot. Apparently you believe the Bill of Rights is nothing. The USA wasn't perfect, but it was better than anything that existed elsewhere in the world.

You act as if no regulations was a bad thing. This country thrived without regulations. The same goes for the highway system, a hugely expensive boondoggle that put the railroads out of business.

Then how do you explain Ron Paul saying he would let Iran get nukes? Ignoring the rest of the world is naïve and foolish.

I certainly hope so, but I have my doubts. A large segment of our population have been brainwashed to think big government is good and those espousing small limited government are EVIL. Some demand more government even though history clearly shows the bigger the government the smaller the citizen...and big government has a long history of murdering and imprisoning it's citizens

The government ignores the Constitution. We have rule by elites...crony capitalism rules the day. America has become a quasi fascist state.

Clearly our problems stem from big government, but many have blinders on and are unable to see it.

What percentage of self described Libertarians are former Republicns?

When the two American politicians who are most often identified with libertarianism are members of the GOP.......and thus approve of the GOP platform, how can you claim to have any impact at all?
