2 guys try to kill guy in Chicago, do you think they had background checks for the guns?

Now...do any of you anti gunners think they went through the 16 hour training process.....paid all the fees, a couple hundred dollars, and filled out the paperwork to carry those guns.......and went through the fingerprint, background check process...before they tried to commit murder in broad daylight?

Chicago has 3 million people.....

New York has 8 million people.....

Chicago has a higher number of people killed by guns than New York......

they both have extreme gun control laws......

New York has Vermont right there and their laws on guns are the most relaxed in the country...


access to guns isn't the issue.......the willingness of criminals to use those guns to commit murder is....Chicago gangs are some of the most violent in the country, and Chicago police have stepped back from making stops on suspected thugs....their proactive stops are down about 90%.......thanks to the Ferguson effect and black lies murder.....so these thugs no longer fear being searched for guns.....

On top of that.....the chicago street gangs run the aldermen in their neighborhoods.....and tell them to vote against adding police resources to their territories.....

Also......Chicago prosecutors and judges give out light sentences for felons with repeat gun crimes.....the old and new Police Commissioner have been complaining about the revolving door for violent criminals for years........they arrest felons with guns, the judges give them bail, and then less than 3 years if prosecutors actually bring gun charges against them....

That is the problem....

No. I say that because I lived in Chicago. The gangs slide across the border back and forth. I am well aware of the hug a thug phenomena but that wasn't the question presented.
