Look at Georgia where the Sec. of State (who oversees elections) purged voter rolls in Democrat precincts while he was...get ready for it...running for governor! Look at North Carolina where the courts decreed voting precincts were selected "surgically " to repress Democrat voters. Look at Ohio where voter rolls were illegally purged. Look at Dodge City, KS where, in a city of more than 20,000 there was one voting station. And consider voter I.D. laws designed to hinder minority and elderly votes.

It seems as if you really support democracy you would want all eligible voters to cast their votes. Gerrymandering works against democracy. Under gerrymandering, the politicians choose the voters. It's supposed to be the other way around.

Nobody will ever know what the outcome of a popular vote in 2016 would have been IF there had been a popular vote election. Suggesting the 'popular vote' has any meaning is completely dishonest.

Never mind Trump won 1 million more votes than Hillary in 49 of 50 states. It was only California that Hillary won 4 million more votes than Trump.

Actually, if you read the constitution, that's not how it works at all, in fact, the section of the constitution that talks about all of this doesnt even say the vote of the people are counted towards electing a president. It says it's up to the legislature to select electors, and the electors simply vote for 2 people, one becomes president, the other VP.

The way you describe it is how we've been doing it, and how it's supposed to work according to our current methods.
