Tomorrow (8 January 2014), marks the 50th anniversary of LBJ's famous "war on poverty". For the last 50 years, the United States government has wasted 15 TRILLION dollars (and most economist claim it is closer to 20 trillion) fighting a war to do away with poverty.
Why are there still "poor" people in this country? Where did the money go? Why do we continue to (literally) throw billions of dollars away each year?
The left loves to trumpet the idea that the "war on drugs" is/was a failure. Money spent on this "war"? estimated - 287 billion dollars. Again - the "war on poverty" - 15 TRILLION dollars.
LBJ and his "Great Society" - smoke and mirrors for legalized theft and re-distribution of income. Just like Barry Obama.
