The study may be privately funded but there is nothing to show that the program money used to dole out in a hare brained scheme is coming from a money tree or leprechauns or some anonymous billionaire.

I do not pretend anything. I know people who moved there and are very happy. I also know the history of Stockton and how it went from a bustling import center to a barren wasteland. I have also worked there installing new foundations and concrete patios and walkways. This is old news, actually. I think I first read about this experiment at least a year ago. By now, we ought to be hearing about results.

This was taking place in Stockton, a city which can't even afford to support an adequate police force, and has, as a result, seen a massive increase in violent crime. My wife worries because I drive through Stockton on my way between home in Sacramento, and my current job project in Tracy.
