It did in this case as they had taken over control of the Mandate for Palestine which was still an international law. Nothing to do with UN resolutions 181 and 194. Once Israel could show it had free determination and the ability to stand on its own the Mandate came into force and Israel was from then a legal nation. Strange how the arab muslims have never shown any of this and yet still demand to be seen as a nation.

Then so should Pakistan, Bangladesh, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi. Will you start the movement to have these nations annulled for illegality. Then we can move on to the Horn of Africa and the former Yugoslavia.
