“Your Honor, the President is acting Like He’s in Charge and We Want It Stopped”

No counter-argument? Do you understand how the justice system works? Congress makes laws, The Supreme Court interprets the laws, and the DoJ enforces it. The DoJ including the AG doesn't just do what the POTUS says... they enforce the LAWS set forth by Congress and the Constitution, and how they have been interpreted over the years by the Supreme Court. As much as everyone wants to believe the POTUS has supreme power, he doesn't.

Ok, show me one supreme court decision that says the president doesn't have the authority to tell the DOJ what to do. All constitutional federal law enforcement authority is derived from Article 2, Section 3, he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed. He, in that phrase, is the POTUS. You can pretend that the DOJ is part of the judicial branch all you want, that doesn't make it true. If you want that changed, see Article 5.

BTW, your dear leader instructed the DOJ not to defend a federal law called DOMA, was that obstruction of justice?

.

Numbnuts, what is so hard to understand? The President appoints the AG to run the DoJ. The AG's job is to uphold the laws of the land... UNLESS the President tells the AG to NOT enforce a law that contradicts the law of a state, ie. legalized marijuana.

As much as the President may like, he CAN NOT go around telling Jeff Sessions every single person to investigate.

Well dipstick he appoints everyone in his cabinet, do you think he doesn't have the authority to tell Tillerson or Mattis what to do? Of course he does, they all work at the pleasure of the president. And no he doesn't have time to tell Sessions every person to investigate, he can lay out the priorities for the DOJ and if he disagrees on how they are handling a particular case, he has every authority to tell them.

.

Dumbass, Tillerson and Mattis aren't trying to enforce laws on citizens...

The President DOES NOT have the authority to tell the DoJ who they can or can not investigate.

Still waiting on a court citation to that effect. Get back to me when you get one, I'm not going to keep pointing out obvious constitutional authorities of the president. What you need to do is put down the cup of kool aid and do your own research.

.

So you have no counter argument, how regressive of you.

How about you show me where in the Constitution where federal law enforcement authority is derived. In fact show me where an AG is even mentioned in the Constitution.

.

Trump isn’t ‘in charge’ – the rule of law is.

All elected officials are subject to the rule of law, including the idiot Trump, regardless his delusions to the contrary.

And all law enforcement agencies are likewise subject to the rule of law, sworn to uphold the law, answerable only to the Constitution and its case law.

“The director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is not the highest law-enforcement official in the land. The president is.” ibid

Wrong.

The AG highest law-enforcement official in the land, also subject solely to the rule of law.

“If [the president] wants to fire his director for failing to pursue a case, or pursuing a case too closely, or investigating a matter that he doesn’t want investigated, he’s well within his authority to do so.” ibid

Also wrong.

A president who fires an FBI director because he doesn’t want a matter investigated is known as obstruction of justice, an impeachable offense.

Any president who fires an FBI director because he doesn’t approve of how an investigation is being conducted deserves to be removed from office.
Trump has a phone and a pen and he's using them both

Post me a link where Obama publicity stated that the DOJ under his direct command refuse to enforce federal law..

Post it..that would be grounds for treason and impeachment

Oh lord, not you again. How many times are you going to get shit wrong with me? You never answered my bet. First you said I was married and sat on the couch all day and had my wife support me. Then you said I told you I was older than you. Both lies.

But because you are so dishonest...

When a situation arises that a state law contradicts a federal law, the POTUS can tell the AG to create a memo defining how the federal government will enforce the law. Under Obama they decided NOT to enforce most normal laws in states where weed was legalized, but only enforce the law under certain circumstances.

I'm not posting the whole thing, but when Sessions was doing his confirmation hearing, when Rosenstein did his, when Wray did his, and when Brennan was questioned, they all were asked if they would enforce the Constitution or do what the President tells them. They ALL said they would tell the President NO if what he said did not follow the law or the Constitution.

Have you been in a fucking cave for the last 8 years?

"“By directing federal law enforcement officers to ignore federal drug laws, the administration is tacitly condoning the use of marijuana in the United States,” said Mr. Smith, the senior Republican on the House Judiciary Committee. “If we want to win the war on drugs, federal prosecutors have a responsibility to investigate and prosecute all medical marijuana dispensaries and not just those that are merely fronts for illegal marijuana distribution.”"

U.S. Won’t Prosecute in States That Allow Medical Marijuana

And Obama made the DoJ even loser on this when more states started to pass legalization of weed.

Quit arguing just for the sake of trolling. This subject has been covered ad nauseam. For you NOT to know about it is impossible.
