The NYC Hustle two-step (the simple one) is the easiest and most fun to dance and easiest to teach to a babe with two left feet on the dance floor in time with the music.

NYC Hustle 2-step:

Leader (usually male) steps first with the left foot, always.

Follower (usually female) steps first with the right foot, always.

Square off, facing each other. Hold both of each others' hands facing each other, hands both on the sides, not crossed in front. This is the starting position.

Then the music starts -- a simple disco 4/8ths song -- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 etc.

Both then step forward, and together.

Then back, and together.

Then forward, and together.

Then back, and together.

You can do all this in one sequence/measure of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ...
