Repent of your sins. Learn to love your enemy as yourself. humble yourself. Submit to the Lord in all things. Not an easy lesson but one that is a key to true happiness.
 
Imagine how much more time you would have in your life to do positive/productive things if you weren't wasting your time with this crap.

Maybe on a spiritual level?
The process is about spiritual growth to new levels of maturity.

There is also a "Second Death" that changes
whatever wasn't resolved in the First part of the spiritual change.

These are like stages of a caterpillar
breaking out of the cocoon to grow wings and fly freely.

that encloses your understanding"

it is about breaking out of one level of thinking and moving into higher levels of freedom from biases and conditions we carried from the past

They don't make a lot of money on members who were baptized by their parents when they were babies. Those people don't go to church and fill the collection plate. But they feel like they are safe because they've been baptized.

So born agains came up with an interesting twist. You have to be born again as an adult. The people you get to be born again are going to:

a. Spread the word because they have recently found Jesus and they want everyone to experience what they are experiencing but like an ex drug addict you can't get other drug addicts to stop just because you found the courage. They have to find their own. Or they have to hit rock bottom like you did before they feel guilty enough to get hard core into Jesus and church.

b. Come every week and fill those collection plates.

Plus this gets you to reconfirm their beliefs. To be honest, a lot of people who call themselves christians don't believe the bible literally and they are only christians because they were born into it. If you pushed them and said either go get baptized or go to hell, most of them will probably tell you to go to hell.

Didn't I tell you that god spoke to me and told me that you need to give me oral or you will burn in hell. I don't have proof either. You'll just have to have faith.

Oh, and after this weekend maybe I am going to hell. This 30something year old cutie took me to her home and we made out and then 20 minutes later I'm making out with her mom. I'm going to do both of them. The girl said, "I'm ok with you doing me and you doing my mom, just not at the same time".

YES! Because this life is real, right now.

I've always objected to the idea that we should be "good" in this life in order to get a reward in the next one. Religion isn't what makes you a good person.

Uh, just look at gismo. He's nasty and rude and seems to despise the god he says he worships.

YES! Because this life is real, right now.
