WOW, shades of 2016 - Bernie-ism = Trump-ism

Pretty funny watching MSNBC's Joy Reid say, "wow, we really underestimated how angry and frustrated and animated these people are. The party had better pay attention to this".

And EXACTLY the same thing was said about Trump and the Trumpsters in 2016. I say it all the time: The two ends can be SO DAMN SIMILAR.

Bernie is this year's Trump, at least for the Democrats.

White suburban liberals and inner city blacks will configure in Milwaukee this summer. The weak, guilt ridden whites will stand down.

I tend to think millions of Americans are fed up with their government protecting, enriching, and bailing out the extreme wealthy, while they are given peanuts and harassed by an ever growing police state thanks to nonstop wars abroad.

This could be why O and Don were elected, and why Bernie may win this time.

Not only are the above items similar, the nations they represent are very similar as well. For example both have flags.

Yeah. I can certainly understand the anger and frustration in both cases.

This period in our history may well being the time a lot of shit comes to an end. But it won't be pretty, as we're already seeing. We could pretty easily see some violent swings back and forth as the old guard is shaken out.

Sure and that's the problem.

Stop the importation of socialist voters into the country.

Yes, Stormy Mac, you probably STILL don't get what animated Trump or Bernie.

It's that most of us don't have money in Wall Street. Most of us are just struggling to get by day to day getting cut off on the way to work by some douchebag in a Lexus.

I personally think Bernie is a bit overblown. He's gotten less of the Primary vote than he got in 2016 in the three contests so far.

But he stands for something that people can relate to while everyone else is, "don't upset Wall Street".

I must disagree. My nation defeated communism and won the Cold War. WE DEFEATED THE SOVIET UNION POINT BLANK! It took lots of lives and much effort on the part of Democrats and Republicans to win that fight. WE WON.

Except for the full blown hypocritical American hating communist who only survives based on the communist educational system and identity politics VS an American capitalist who feels no need to apologize to the world for America.

Yeah, it is the polar opposite of each other. Did you actually mean it they are and their voters the polar opposite and angry about the exact opposite issues?

If so, then you are right.

It's a joke on how Mac sees everything that is opposite as the same. His horseshoe is smaller than the usual...

Bernie stands for “something for nothing”

and that appeals to a lot of people raised in the socialist public schools

What's logical about it? You have any idea how the stock market affects everyone or not?

We are free here to invest in companies you want to invest in. If people choose not to invest, whose fault is that? White people's fault?

Do you know that prick joe said that white humanitarian woman who was kidnapped imprisoned tortured raped and murdered by stink brown muslims deserved it cause she was white?

He should really really hope we never meet.

Really? Frankly, I was a product of Catholic education, and I understand the appeal.

These kids look at Mom and Dad working two jobs each to put a roof over their heads, living paycheck to paycheck while the guys like Mac are putting the screws to them. They look at their own futures of not having kids until they are 30 because they won't have their student loans paid off until then.

I don't support Bernie, but I understand why he's a thing. Just like I understand why Trump was a thing.

the similarity between Trump and Bernie is that they both tap into an economy that has left most of us behind, struggling day to day with no real security.

While Trump has used racism to blame people of color for this, Bernie puts the blame where it actually belongs. His solutions are shit, but at least he's identified the problem.
