Nobody has dropped from the extreme high admiration of OJ to being the most hated man in America

Take off Conner McGregor, add Aaron Hernandez, Pete Rose, Tonya Harding, Joe Paterno, Mike Tyson and Ben Johnson.

Don't forget Oscar Pistorius. From Paralympian and Olympian to convicted murderer, although with a far shorter sentence than Hernandez.

Agree

Joe Paterno went from being a god at Penn State to a pariah

Tonya Harding was never good enough to have a "fall".

She placed first in a US Championship, fourth in Olympic competition, and was a 2 time Olympian. I think that's enough for a fall. :)

Harding was never the greatest at her particular type of competition, but she was certainly near the top for at least a little while.

Not really a "fall" but I always found it odd how Charlie Ward went from Heisman trophy winner straight to the NBA.
