You know that Hollywood profits and movie ticket sales are at an all time high, right?

Half of the top twenty highest grossing movies of all time have come out in the last 5 years.

No kidding.

I guess when tickets used to cost 50 cents they didn't have much of a chance.

But seriously folks.......blockbusters are what gives Hollywood those numbers. You know....Star Wars......Avengers.....Jurassic World.

Meanwhile.....the movies I mentioned are losing money.....and they're the movies that are critically acclaimed. Several of them aren't gonna earn $20 million.....which is about the going rate for the highest paid actors.

Movies didn't cost as much to produce then....

What does that have to do with the box-office totals?

Jesus.....and I thought you were fairly intelligent.

CGI cost muchas dinero....

But the Dr is telling me that box-office records are breaking big-time.......he didn't seem to care that movie production is costing more than ever before.

It is pushing some genres, like Transformers to the point that they can't afford to produce them because of the production cost..As far as a losing money at the box office, it helps give them a tax deduction on productions that make a profit.....
