Will We Become a Divided Country?

Room for compromise. They are insane hypocrites who have no place for independents. Who are in my estimation higher level thinkers.
Higher level thinkers? You're a lying piece of shit who comes on this forum pushing weird agendas about population control, half the time claiming people shouldn't have kids and that you intentionally had no kids, and the other time talking about your 50-year-old daughter. Go fuck yourself, I hate liars.

No need to be divided against each other. We are already divided against ourselves. :omg:
America has always been a fifty fifty country for most of our lives.

The exception was when Reagan won every state but one against Carter.

I can think of another election in my lifetime that was not pretty close in the popular vote.

The thing that has changed is pick disagreements are getting more heated.

And there is not one set of fa to anymore.

You have facts and now it seems alternative facts. Coined by Trump.

No longer is there a set stated fact.

Now you have an alternate reality it seems.

We largely make our own reality from what is around us. Too many have constructed an unhealthy reality by their actions, attitudes, and associations, and what they allow into their bodies and into their minds.

There is most certainly a far right in US politics.

However, I will stipulate your claim and just say that the organization formerly known as the Republican Party has invented a whole new wing.

The Far Whackadoo wing.

Democratic Supreme Court justices can’t answer a simple question about the difference between a man and a woman and yet in your mind it is Republicans that are Whackadoos. Yeah, ok.

I've said it countless times. There is no difference except on cultural issues like abortion and gun control.

We get the politicians we deserve. We refuse to demand better from them.

The cultural divide far exceeds just abortion and gun control and bleeds into fiscal policy.

Yeah, a man is a man and a woman is a woman. That is a fact that the left can’t seem to grasp. I don’t think Trump coined those ideas.

Unless we have a leader who can bridge the gap in the tradition of Reagan and Clinton, I suggest is is practically inevitable:

It may be time for a division, revolution, secession or something else of that nature. With the country so divided, the only way to save it may be to split it. So what if we set up two nations, the socialist democracy of america, and the capitalist democracy of america. Then let both systems operate independently and see which one actually works. I suspect that in about 5 years the socialists would be begging to reunite the nation. Unless someone here can give us an example of socialism actually working.

If Trump runs that will seal it.

E Pluribus Unum is dead, at least for now. It has fallen to misinformation, ego and hubris. I'll keep hoping that we can neutralize the ends of the spectrum, but the only way I know of to do that is to change the system under which they operate.

A system that incentivizes and rewards the worst impulses of its participants is doomed to fail. So, let's fix that.

#ForwardParty
the problem is that you on the left consider fixing it by mandating that everyone accept your far left BS. That just will not happen. I think a division of some form is the only way to fix it. Let both ideologies operate and see which one works, see which one is prosperous, see which one works for the people.

It's not going to be binary, A or B.

It'll be a far more pronounced difference going from one state to the next, that's all. The degree of Christian control will vary and will be the most prominent feature of the state. So people will have to decide if they want to live a more Christian state or less Christian state, or whether they are just willing to deal with what comes.

Not what the Founders intended, I suspect, but they also thought we'd be able to work together for a better America for all. Ha ha.

Christian control is good, right?

Or the put it another way, what do biden voters like you have against Christians?

There is really only ONE way to bridge this divide and it does not require us to be led. It involves us leading the way. That way involves us abandong the inherently divisive themes involved in identity politics.

If you see yourself as a hyphenated American, you are part of the problem and not part of the solution. Your little sub group identity IS the problem, especially when that entire identity is invested in being a republican or Democrat.

I remember that old saying from my youth "what if they had a war and nobody came?" So stop fighting one against your fellow Americans, assholes.

Do your own thing and question authority. That was good advice in 1969 and it is good advice now.

It would be much easier if we were divided by state as in the Civil War.This is a far more different dynamic.
.

We could call it a Revolution if we ever managed to overthrow the Authoritarian Fascists in government on both sides.
My guess is most people still want a Civil War, and the security blanket of the Fascists.

God forbid they ever had to do anything themselves and couldn't blame someone else for their failures.

If it's not going to be binary, then why do you immediately do just that, skippy?

when the liberal democrats began to try to force their radical socialism on the entire country the divide began. If you libs hate the constitution and what it stands for, why not secede and form your own socialist country on the west coast and maybe a second one in the northeast? We Americans will take the rest of the country and then we can see which system actually works. OK?
