Will Obama go down in history as the best president ever?

He is probably just young. Besides, it's not like Democrats have given people much in Presidents.

You know, it's funny how people tend to judge Presidents "good" or "bad" almost exclusively on agreeing with that person's ideology. There's usually very little analysis of actual ability to do the job.

The last rating, I know of by historians, was in 2010. A well known rating system, the Siena College poll rated FDR as the greatest American president. They rated presidents on twenty characteristics.
The first rating of presidents by historians was the Schlesinger poll in 1948. This poll rated FDR third greatest, Washington second and Lincoln first. In the next catagory they rated the near-great presidents. Of the near-greats five were Democrats and one a Republican. The Republican was Teddy Roosevelt who also ran as a Progressive, and is accepted by most to be a liberal.
When the general public is asked to rate the presidents only a few can name more than fifteen of all the presidents, much less rate them.

He's done a better job than the past two Democrats. Not saying much, but he has. Not sure why you think idealogy has anything to do with viewpoints of who did a better job.

In what ways has Obama done better than Clinton? Not that I liked Clinton.

Im saying Bush did better than Obama and Clinton.

That hardly means Bush didn't have big flaws.

Other people's opinions =/ the truth. It is purely a matter of opinion.

The general public is stupid as fuck and can't even name half the US States.

I'm not sure who is considered such as of now, Ronnie (laughably), FDR maybe? Washington? Lincoln?

:eusa_eh:

You're joking right?......
You're asking this just to break balls right?...
This can't be considered a serious question.
At least can we wait until he finishes being president before you crown him as such.

Is that really too much to ask from his worshipers....

Some times I wish I didn't log on here...

Do we really have to go down this road... :cuckoo:

.

My favorite President:

th

He won the Nobel prize...
He can't even figure that out.
People here want him on the side of Mt.Rushmore.
Now we are being asked to consider him the best president ever.

BEFORE HE FINISHES HIS SECOND TERM

Are you people insane?

It's not surprising that People cite FDR as the best. They are told in school that his new Deal saved us from the Depression. Even though it's not true, It took a World War to do that.

This is such a crucial point to many topics.

Many people never realize that children are educated by the government. The government approves the curriculum. It's a wonder we don't have a ton of liberals running around based on the education in this country. You learn what they want you to learn. That is why you don't read about the true brutality the indians suffered or how our foreign policy really works or anything about greed, corporatism, statism, etc. Shit they just skim over the Constitution..

FDR was a dictator, his economical policy kept America economy in depression longer that it should have been. The greatest I don't think so.

But we do have a ton of them, and their numbers are growing with each Graduating class. Who do you think Besides blacks put Obama into Power twice? The Young Vote.

Sorry dupes, Bush II the worst, followed by Harding, Grant, Nixon, Reagan (see sig pp1- He almost STOPPED the USSR from collapsing- bringing back hardliners with his BS)- All GOP

Frankie no one gives a fuck about your "sig pp1".....

Read it, dumbazz dupe, STUDY IT- all fact, and shows why Reaganism and Voodoo tax rates have been a catastrophe for the non rich and the country.

Not to mention the stupidest wars EVER and a cronyism and corruption Pub World Depression from Bush, or Reagan's production of the biggest propaganda machine ever, with its armies of loudmouth ignorami like YOU. LOL

Nixon was always subverting the constitution in his pursuit of his enemies, he defrauded the USA with his secret plan, ruined respect for the office for years.

Hispanics helped too, but yes, you're correct. I'm just surprised there are not more of them TBH. It is crazy how people went from thinking "I have to take care of myself" to thinking "We have to force everyone to take care of everyone else"

Obama going down as the best President ever??????? in your dreams

America's most divisive President ever ... could define him better!

FDR helped the victims of the first Pub cronyism and corruption Great World Depression, and actually the economy was improving by 1936.

Thank god this time the Dems got in immediately to stimulate the economy. The dupes' belief that Fanny and Freddie caused it or that Tarp and the stimulus didn't turn it around is ignorant, brainwashed RW IDIOCY.

The dupes don't even seem to think this was more than just another recession and "socialism" is ruining the recovery LOL. When the economy retracts 9%, the middle class loses half their wealth and the country has to spend one years government spending to stop a meltdown like 1932, it's the worst thing in 80 years, and comparable. Now Pubs should end the mindless obstruction which alone may put us back in recession.

Obama may have done too good a job at getting us through this Pub disaster- the dupes haven't learned a thing, AGAIN..
