Why the right hates liberals

The only "REAL" hate I ever see comes from the liberals against anyone who doesn't believe like they do.

Just look at a lot of the treads on this board. you can feel the hate coming through the computer.

I don't "hate" anyone. But I do "strongly disagree" with the liberals policy ideas, their absolute hate for people, (Palin, Rush, etc etc etc).

Hell in the Rush tread, someone wanted to poke his eye out just because they didn't like what he says. what does that tell ya about the so called, peace loving, non-violent LIBERALS.

It real simple for me with Rush. I just turn him off.

Even simpler for me, I never turn him on to begin with. Same with anyone on MSNBC or CNN. Of course regarding the latter two, it's obvious I'm not alone in not turning them on to begin with.

Why can't you take of yourself? This is the fundamental difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals think it is governments role to take care of people. Well if govenment takes care of you, it controls you. It can dicatate to you how you have to live your life. That runs totally counter to the intent of the reason this country was founded, in a nutshell freedom and you can't have it both ways. You can't say you want the government to take care of you and expect to maintain your freedom.

That is the problem with liberalism. So much of it sounds so nice and warm and fuzzy on paper. But trying to do everything for everyone has consequences. Chiefly creating a complacent society that has no concept of self accountability because, SURPRISE, they dont have to take care of themselves. Government does that in your fairly tale world.

You seem to espouse a meritocracy, but then presume some have not rightfully earned what they have. Equality is an opportunity not a mode of redistribution. So feel free to identify what I have that is not earned and then STFU.

It certainly could be true that they are quite happy. But should we really find it all that suprising that a group of people would obsficate the responsibility of taking care of themselves to someone else?

I'd like to get back to one of the original points in this thread. We do need to avoid assuming rich = conservative. I think the actual issue here is that the rich play by a different set of rules than the poor, and that this is misinterpreted as being unfair.

Take for example the scenario where someone in the upper class and someone in the middle class want to buy the same car. What does the middle class worker do? Well, he makes some salary at his job, some large chunk of taxes get removed from it, and he saves what's left over to purchase his car. The upper class person however receives the exact same amount of money, but it comes first to his private business. The business buys him the car, and whatever profit happens to be leftover after that purchase is where taxes are taken. So one person gets taxes taken from the total of his money, and the other gets it taken from a small percentage of whatever money isn't used. In other words: the upper class person purchases the same car for less time/work even though both people are working the same amount.

You fail to acknowledge the fact that the person who purchases the car for their business has to provide proof that the car is used for business purposes in order to deduct it from their taxes. Furthermore, cars are not an expense that can just be deducted from a business's taxes. They have to be depreciated over the life of the vehicle, and when the vehicle is sold/traded, any value earned greater than the book value is taxable to the business.

So, not only is your example not comparing apples to apples, it's not even comparing fruit to fruit.
