The writing is shitty. It seems like they write for just cheap laughs. Plus the jokes are all obvious and the skits are all the same. Boring

The cast is annoying and can’t act.

They overkilled it with the Trump skits. I mean they were funny at first and then they beat it to death.

Poop and fart jokes are not funny.

Is it really that difficult to find a good comedian?....perhaps SNL is more concerned with political correctness than good comedy....as we know 'wokeness' not truth is the standard for t.v. these days.

Their problem is they are trying to do comedy with an agenda instead of just plain comedy.

Today's comedians are more concerned with not stepping on eggshells that will put them in the sights of the PC media.

Comedy isn't funny if you can't also poke fun and laugh at the absurdities of all sides.

I wonder if Shane Gillis will do anything controversial tonight, or just kiss the ring.

Comedy has often had an agenda.

Sure.

The problem is, these days, only one agenda is permitted.

Por ejemplo, you're never gonna see an SNL sketch in 2024 where the guy praises Trump unapologetically.

At least not if he's hoping for another invite.

Et tu, Shane?

SNL is one venue. They have always leaned the way they do. Chevy Chase started off by making fun of Gerald Ford.

They made fun of Clinton all the time. They make fun of Biden.

SNL is just "one venue".

That happens to be the biggest most influential one that exists. (Although as the media landscape shifts and American lose trust in the mainstream, that is definitely changing.)

And Chevy Chase making fun of Gerald Ford is downright quaint.
