Why people voted for Tump.

PT Barnum is associated with the quote "There's a sucker born every minute"
I am sure Donny has used it many times.
Do you think it's possible, just possible, that a perceived obnoxious personality may be the bedrock of a strong leader? Is there any evidence that Trump's voters thought they were electing Saint Francis of Assisi? Do you think it might have been that Trump's supporters thought it was more important to save the country than wait to be handed another worthless empty suit?

Nope. Not possible, that an obnoxious personality is the bedrock of strong leadership. I have had extensive leadership training, and it was never mentioned. Surely the US Military would have brought it up.

I could understand why Republicans voted Trump in.
Now wanting him again?? as he has split our Nation so soundly with his total negative attitude, hates about EVERY agency IN USA.
Plus HIS RABID HATE for anyone who dislikes him.

Question about that, and this isn't a gotcha, I literally don't know the answer and maybe someone else will;

Did Trump ever say a negative word about the FBI before it came to light that certain parties within that organization decided to take it upon themselves to upend his presidency? For a quick refresher;

And even if he did, doesn't this information coming to light taint the credibility of not just the FBI, but also of EVERY agency in the USA? If one federal department can weaponize itself against one person, what's stopping any of them?

Who is your idea of a strong leader? Who would you support for our next President?

When I said "strong leader" I was thinking in terms of Winston Churchill or Teddy Roosevelt figures. Do you think Winston and Teddy got a certificate from an employment seminar leadership course?

I am considering Nikki Haley. I will vote for her in the primary if still around on Super Tuesday. If she makes it out of the primaries with the nomination I will vote for her, if her running mate has any more potential than Kamala, which is certainly not a high bar, by any means.

Make no mistake, I am not unhappy with Joe except for his total ineptitude at the border and on immigration. But I do not want to take a chance on Kamala becoming president, as she has already reached her highest level of ineffectiveness. We are talking about the Presidency of the United States, and in this day and time, something could come up. I pray for Joe's good health, but I do not think it should require God's undivided attention.

Ok.

Trump is the only public figure I know that never apologized to the twatter mob.

Why did people vote for Donald Trump? The answer might surprise you. Trump was not elected in 2016 because he was a white spremacist that kept slaves or a homophobe that grew up going to father-son gay bashing picnics. This is what woke leftism and legacy media is feeding to useful idiots, but that has nothing to do with Trump's ascension to the White House. Trump won in 2016 because he supplied a mass repudiation to Washington politics. The gangsterism of Washington and its axis of evil with Fisa Courts, Russian collusion conspiracies, Stasi-like media, and the security state since the last corrupted, government-adjusted election proves that beyond all doubt.

Trump entered the race as the people's wild card and he won. As soon as he took office Washington's defeated embedded power structure didn't even try to hide its intentions which were to use all means neccessary to remove him. And that is what they did with a "fixed election". Now the FBI and the DOJ are donning their new uniforms as enforcers of the thought police. Washington's improved third-world-machinery is raging against him to prevent him from running again.

They want to charge him with war crimes against the elitism that is destroying the nation. Show us the man and we will show you the crime! They want to put him in prison for fomenting doubt among the people about the motives and goals of crooked professional politics that infests DC. It's all right there. It's right before the eyes of the people. What the people see will determine if there will even be a presidential election for 2024. If the people see what is facing them then Trump will prevail. If not, then the US is done as a free democracy.
Actually it was James Comey and email insanity lock her up with a joke and the rhino M S M went along with all that b S....

Trump ran against a monster who was too lazy and arrogant to commit the voter suppression crimes necessary to win the swing states.

There are no people as stupid and willfully blind as Trump's supporters.

I feel sorry for trump supporters. Their intellect qualifies them for a new title....ATHLETIC SUPPORTERS.

I'm very glad -- seriously -- to see a Trump supporter saying this.

What we usually get are abject denials of character flaws, bizarre notions that he is a brilliant, honest, God-fearing patriot, and even that God sent him to save us from Satan. People who hold those beliefs are simply gone, and in their own world. There is no way to communicate with that.

I've had a couple of MAGAs tell me, in real life, something like this: "Yes, he's a clown, a con man and an embarrassment, he has zero character and he clearly has some mental issues. But America has gone so far off track that I have to overlook all of that, because he's -- for whatever reason -- willing to do what I think needs to be done".

Y'know, I can respect that. I can at least see that. It's free of cultism and delusion, and is pretty clear. I even agree to some degree on many of the issues. But this mass delusion is just too much for me, and he is showing clear signs of an authoritarianism that has far too many historical parallels. He's listening to the wrong voices, simply because they tell him what he wants to hear about himself.

I would add the possibility that many have been manipulated to believe that they ought to be desperate. Tyranny, commies, immigrants, scary 'n stuff. They hear paranoid hyperbole 24/7 telling them their world is crashing and they're headed to concentration camps, even if it isn't, even if they aren't.

Desperation drives people to do desperate things. Germany in the 30's. Argentina this week. Happens quite a bit. The difference is that these people have been completely conned by an obvious con man and his enablers.
Illegal immigration has exploded - fact
Crime is up in most cities, even with crimes no longer being counted as crimes. You have people doing drugs in the open in front of police stations.
Inflation.
Afghanistan disaster

It isn't paranoia, it is right there for everyone to see. It isn't desperation. It is people who recognize that with Trump, people made more money over inflation, we didn't get in stupid wars, and we could afford to fill our cars with gas. Your deriding people who vote for someone who made their lives better, while voting for a guy who is an obvious disaster. You are a champion of failure who goes after people who voted for someone that made their life better. People who wet the bed over Trump and vote for failure are a special kind of brain washed.

No. He put Trump first and doesn't give a shit about America, except it's ability as a market place for him to make money. Which he will attempt any way he can, whether it is fleecing students in a fake university, fleecing veterans on charities, pocketing the money from charities for his own purposes or whatever.
No stupid wars, earnings gained over inflation, could buy gas, slowed illegal immigration. I would say that shows caring about America. He is no saint, but policy wise, he was more than solid.

I could understand why Republicans voted Trump in.
Now wanting him again?? as he has split our Nation so soundly with his total negative attitude, hates about EVERY agency IN USA.
Plus HIS RABID HATE for anyone who dislikes him.
All he did was his job. The democrat hate machine has not stopped for eight years.

Anyone claiming they're better off under Biden than Trump is lying

I know. This is "the final battle", as he says. It's Good vs. Evil. You're "at war with Satan". You're "saving America".

I know.

I know. This is "the final battle", as he says. It's Good vs. Evil. You're "at war with Satan". You're "saving America".

I know.
What horseshit. You vote for failure and wonder why people don't want to vote your way.

And that makes you vote for Biden?
In 2016 it caused me to vote 3rd party as neither the Republican nor the Democrat had character worth a crap. 2020 it caused me to vote for Biden. We avoided "Crooked Hillary" thank goodness, only to get "Crooked Trump", so in 2020 I was voting to get rid Donny and we did. If you can get the assholes to support somebody, not a known piece of sh#T, not supporting a stolen election and willing to swear an oath to support the constitution and mean it, I could vote Republican again as I have many times since 1972. Heck, the only Governors and Senators I have ever corresponded with were Republicans. But, I have seen crooked, low down sunsabitches in both parties and always did my best to help vote them out of office.
