......because McCain lobbied as a U.S. Senator for a convicted felon.

McCain and Keating had become personal friends following their initial contacts in 1981,[11] and McCain was the closest socially to Keating of the five senators.[31] Like DeConcini, McCain considered Keating a constituent as he lived in Arizona.[25] Between 1982 and 1987, McCain had received $112,000 in political contributions from Keating and his associates.[32] In addition, McCain's wife Cindy McCain and her father Jim Hensley had invested $359,100 in a Keating shopping center in April 1986, a year before McCain met with the regulators. McCain, his family, and their baby-sitter had made nine trips at Keating's expense, sometimes aboard Keating's jet. Three of the trips were made during vacations to Keating's opulent Bahamas retreat at Cat Cay. McCain did not pay Keating (in the amount of $13,433) for some of the trips until years after they were taken, when he learned that Keating was in trouble over Lincoln.[7][33]

    From your own link:

Oh no! They were "criticized"! Notice they weren't found guilty of anything.

The Special Prosecutor, a lifelong Democrat, wanted to remove McCain from the investigation because of a lack of evidence of wrongdoing.

The Senate, which had a Democrat majority, refused to allow McCain to be removed from the investigation......because he was the sole Republican amidst all the other Democrats.

    Neither was Obama.

If Guilt by association is all well and good, Obama will, and is, hitting back.

Ads are going up on Monday.

Hitting Obama on Ayers was a pretty stupid thing to do.

Cons, I don't think you wanted to go here. I don't think you wanted to send a vice presidential candidate out to insinuate Obama is a terrorist sympathizer and traitor. Obama's got the money to bury the Old Man with McCain's associations. This isn't good for democracy. This is the lowest common denominator.

But, I don't think Obama is like Kerry. You bring punch him in the mouth, and he's going to respond by kicking McCain's skull in.

It ain't cool. But, this is how McCain/Palin want to play.

KeatingEconomics.com: Obama to launch massive multimedia offensive against McCain re Keating Five Scandal

Barack Obama is taking Sarah Palin and John McCain at their words. All weekend McCain sent the head of his ticket, Sarah Palin, out to talk about Barack Obama's "associations." What she meant was, she was going to talk about stories that CNN and AP and the NYT have already debunked. But Obama takes Palin at her word, and if Sarah Palin and John McCain want to talk about associations, then let's.

Monday at noon, Obama officially launches a 13-minute documentary about John McCain's huge financial ethics scandal, the Keating Five Scandal. The clip above is a teaser for the documentary that will be posted at noon Eastern on Monday.

Your posts consist of one sentence insults.

I suggest you have your doctor check it out.

I think narcosis of the deep has had an effect on you.
