Why I don't have high hopes for Obama

He-he, that was good :)

But seriously, more education for everyone is not the answer. Even if we make all Americans getting a college degree, it won't change a thing. There would be still very few star jobs out there, and someone else will have to do a $15/hour work, whether he has a Harvard diploma, or is a high-school dropout. And only a few lucky individuals would be picked for high-paying jobs, but instead of education something else will be a deciding factor.

I was saying specifically for you to get an education. You seem upset that some people do better than you and you mentioned education so. Anyway.

Well, I gave you a chance to look smarter that you'll ever be, but you blew it. What a surprise.

I'm not worried about how a class warfare troll views me.

Income inequality reflects the current level of technological and social development. Market always rewards valuable skills -- sometimes much more, sometimes only slightly more. We happen to live in times when market pays CEO 300 times the average salary. That calls for more income redistribution.

That is completely illogical. According to your theory it would have been better if Bill Gates had NOT founded Microsoft because of the ensuing income inequality.

It is completely illogical to think that Bill Gates would not had founded Microsoft if the taxes were high.

In fact the top rates WERE high -- 70% to be precise -- in the years when Apple and Microsoft were founded.

Also, nobody but you thinks raising the top FIT rates to 91% is a good idea. Wonder why?

I'm not saying that we should set the top rate to 91%. I was saying that even setting it that high does not seem to affect the growth.

As for the optimal top rates many economists think that 70% is a good figure:

I was hoping to see more liberals on this thread.

Do you guys think my criticism of Obama is unfair? Or maybe you think that we should not criticize Obama because he get enough flack from the right?

My point about Bill Gates was that creating Microsoft increased income inequality, something you apparently detest.

And my point is that while creating Microsoft was beneficial to all of us, high taxes would let us rip the same benefits while dramatically slowing the growth of inequality.

High taxes lead to high amounts of money being hidden away.

Sure. Who wouldn't risk a jail time for getting a 200 feet boat instead of a modest 108 footer?

Jail time? Go ahead with your class warfare. We'll see how that goes.

OP- Well we're doing better than any other major economy. But thanks to Pubs for the world depression and3 1/2 years of mindless obstruction.

Well, I'm not disputing that. My point is that Obama could have done more -- much more. Especially because he was facing Republican roadblocks. That was his chance to expose Republicans for what they are. Still is.

(By the way, I have no idea what I just wrote. I think I was going for a metaphor.)

You fail to understand something.
The government does not care about you. It does not care about me. It does not care for the people who voted or didn't vote.

Liberal? Conservative? It doesn't matter. The government has become a monster, a nightmare, a obsidian-hearted thing that feeds off of everyone. It doesn't matter if you're rich, poor, black, white, gay, straight, or everything in between. It is hungry. Its bloated mass struggles to keep itself fed whilst slowly consuming the entirety of the country it is sworn to serve.

It hates you. It hates you because you exist. The government doesn't want voters, or workers... it wants food. It wants slaves. It wants to keep growing, after all, until it takes over anything.

Blame Obama if you want. Blame Bush. Hell, blame FDR. But it's coming for you and your ilk. And it will eat everyone.

How could anyone have high hopes for this POS? He's a FRAUD! That hope and change shit was just that...SHIT! And he knew it. And the fools voted him in again. You will get everything you deserve now but sadly those of us who knew better will suffer too.

IDIOTS!

You admire that scum bucket Mahr enough to put his comment in your sig? Wow! Know where your at right away!

Obamacare and free abortions will lessen the burden on social security. Now people are living well into their 90's, but with Obamacare, anyone 75 and older will not likely receive the lifesaving operations and treatment they do now. A panel will decide if any of us are worthy of saving. The senior citizens will always be last on the list of priorities and since there will be waiting lists, I don't hold out much hope for grandma and grandpa.

Everyone knows that there are no death panels. Why are you lying?

Social Security is a ponzi scheme anyway and, like most socialist policies, is unsustainable in the long run. The politicians hastened the ruin of SS when they got their grubby hands on the SS fund. Of course, any time politicians try to solve the very problems they created, disaster lies ahead.

Another debunked lie. Social Security is not a ponzi scheme, we pay into our own fund from the time we start working until we retire. We are not paying for someone else

Congress and the presidents, past and present, can take ALL the credit for what is wrong with this country. It is their misguided policies, greed, lust for power and foolishness that has created all the regulations that allowed things to happen. They cannot blame the private sector for following these screwed up laws. Of course, lawyers have played a big part by finding loopholes in the laws.

No again. It's the lobbyists.

... Now, in a feigned effort to correct this, the Obama administration is seeking social justice by redistribution of wealth.

Another lie.

All they really need to do is get back to basics with common sense legislation that ensures equal opportunity.

Define common-sense legislation. Precisely. Oh wait - you can't. It wasn't clearly defined when the talking points were fed to you.

That is the sole job of government. The outcome is up to each individual and each should shape their lives by their own decisions, good and bad. Government cannot create prosperity by stealing from one side and giving to the other.

words, blah blahblah, beck, yadda yadda faux yadda...

If that worked, we would all have been wealthy long ago.

You mean like during the Eisenhower Administration? You forgot about that, didn't you?

Government merely prevents people from learning valuable life lessons when they act as a nanny to people. The lack of understanding about how to improve their lives, on their own, prevents them from rising above poverty and ensures a lifetime of government dependency. That ensures the election of nanny government and the destruction of prosperity. In the end, the very thing government claims they seek to eliminate becomes the result of their efforts.

Blahblahblah I repeat what I hear from tv blahblahblah

It's no accident. It's a tried and true tactic for taking any country down from within. Just ask Alinsky or Cloward and Piven.

Except for the last sentence, what you spam posted here is a Sarah Palin talking point segment that ran on Faux "news" in early summer 2011 when she was still pretending that she might run for President. You did not credit her with it.

I challenge you to define those points you plagierized and prove any of them.
