Yes, it's difficult to defeat an ideology, especially one rooted in radical fundamental religious extremism. Back in 1998... TWO YEARS before George W. Bush was president, Bill Clinton signed the 1998 Iraqi Liberation Act... it called for replacing the regime in Iraq with a functioning DEMOCRACY. The idea was, combat the radical Islamic ideology with a counter-ideology of democracy and freedom. Plant the seeds and democracy will grow across the region, replacing the radical ideology. Well... You did not accept that idea! So what we've done the past 8 years is bury our heads in the sand and pretend there is no problem.

The truth here is, you don't really have a plan. You are too scared to fight them because you don't want to piss of a billion people, so you figure on just keeping your head in the sand and hoping they will get tired of killing us... maybe?
