Why Do Republicans Prefer A Pedophile To A Democrat? A Short History Of Demonization

Is he? He's a Republican.

lol, and he's now behind the DEMOCRAT in the latest poll.

But hey, defend him all you want.
Is he? He's a Republican.

Now?

Yes

and has been for the last 25, of his 69, years.

Before that, when these incidents happened?

Was he a Whig?

Member of the Bull Moose party?

the No Nothing party?

If you can't address the point of my post why did you respond to it?

I did.

He is NOW a republican, has been for 25 years.

What party did he belong to when he was dating teenagers?

What is it with you trolls trying to make the liberals repeat themselves over and over again?

What is it with you trolls and your constant deflection?

Here's an easy question for you:

If Moore was still a Democrat, would there be as much to-do about this?

Ask Anthony Weiner. lol, ask Bill Clinton.

that man the entire Democratic Congress decided wasn't guilty in an impeachment trial?

If Roy Moore were a Democrat, all else being equal, 99% of conservatives would be assuming the accusations against him were true,
and 99% of them would be demanding he get out of the race, and would be excoriating anyone who defended him.

That should be the starting point for every discussion of this topic.

The majority of this nation stills believes in innocent till proven guilty, no matter what party they belong to.

The latest poll now has Moore trailing the Democrat. I would not leap to the conclusion that Moore is now toast,

but the toaster is plugged in and warming up.

And after the election, we'll hear no more about her, as her usefulness to the smear machine will be over.

People are appalled Republicans are sticking with accused pedophile Roy Moore, just as they were appalled they voted for admitted molester Donald Trump.

How did the Democratic Party become so toxic to these voters?

The answer?

40 years of relentless demonization of Democrats and liberals, with race at its heart.

Jen Sorenson’s cartoon above tells the story in three panels. (The fourth is the punchline.) Below is a slightly longer version.

  • Ronald Reagan began it with coded racism — Philadelphia MS and welfare queens — Democrats are the party of “those people.”
  • The “nice” Bush, HW — 41 — jump-started it in 1988 with the advice of Lee Atwater: “You can’t say the n-word, so say your taxes are going to ‘those people.’”
  • Frank Luntz and Newt Gingrich stirred Atwater’s pot with their “campaign in a box,” telling Republicans always to call Democrats key words like “corrupt," "devour," "greed," "hypocrisy," "liberal," "sick," and "traitor.”
  • At the heart of the 8 year jihad against Bill Clinton were Arkansas racists who allied with the more genteel Federalist Society “elves,” who included Kelly-Anne Conway’s husband. Bill Clinton was the late-term-abortion baby-killer champion of “those people,” despite Sister Souljah and welfare reform.
  • The Bush campaign (with generous help from Maureen Dowd and her gang of Beltway Heathers) added mockery to demonization, making Al Gore into a caricature of a lying, arrogant braggart.
  • 9/11 and the drive to war in Iraq added the “treason” element, as ultimately-correct war opposition was made into aiding and abetting Osama.
  • For one election cycle, 2008, the near great depression overcame racism and demonization to elect Barack Obama.
  • But immediately afterward, the “Tea Party” — just a new branding of the old Republican coded racism and demonization — fueled the recurrence and metastacizing of the cancers of racism, nativism and demonization.
  • Added to this were appeals to the insecurity of the base — “Those condescending coastal elites want to force death panels and socialism down your throat. They’re laughing at you at their fancy colleges in the East and West.”
  • In 2016, the Republican cauldron was boiling over with these poisons plus toxic misogyny, and elected the perfect Republican candidate to stir the evil mixture with outright criminal accusations by a criminal candidate.
In 2017, any Democrat is treasonous, corrupt, favors open-borders, wants to give your taxes to minorities, lies, condescends and (gasp) may be an email-using woman.

Ol’ Roy may be a pedophile, but at least he’s not a Democrat.

Why do Republicans prefer a Pedophile to a Democrat? A Short History of Demonization

Actually the pedo is Weiner, and no one prefers him.

The rest is completely unproven delusional imagination.

lolol, we're already hearing no more from the RWnuts about the Harvey Weinstein accusers. Is that what you're talking about?

Actually, this fails as a red herring fallacy.

The thread topic is about Republicans blindly supporting their racist, bigoted, hateful candidates.

But your failed attempt to deflect is understandable and typical of most on the dishonest right.

Not blindly, for all I know, this is a great man. "Misogynist, hateful, bigoted", now I am even more convinced he is great, this is what is the synonym for "amazing person" in the regressive playbook. Weird, but that's how it seems to work.

To the one like you, using "listen and believe" logic, every single one. That being said at least in that case there was proof that Bill Clinton had it in him to perform such acts.

Under no circumstances is Roy Moore a pedophile. Not even close.

Any of you freaks have evidence that Moore is a pedophile?

Ya know, I'm gonna shock everyone and agree with both Tipsy and Soggy.

Moore is not a pedophile. Moore is a child molester.

Learned the difference yesterday watching the news and one of the panelists called Moore a pedophile, and the news host said that term was not accurate, as pedophilia is a term that applies only to children who are 12 or younger.

If the child was 13 to 17 when the contact occurred, it is not pedophilia but rather child molestation.

Dunno if one isn't as bad as the other, but the news anchor said that those were the correct terms to use.

Nope, Moore isn't a pedophile, he's a child molester.

He's accused of child molestation that is.

Why the hell are lefties still whining about Rush and Fox when they have ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, PBS, Al Jazeera, CNN, The Times, The Times magazine, The Wash. Post, Media Matters and a half a dozen left wing blogs like Huff Post? CBS engaged in a little treason when they used forged documents to influence a presidential election but the crazy angry and incoherent left still pays big bucks to keep Dan Rather in his Hollywood condo. Lefties cited the statute of limitations and laughed it off when a string of credible victims claimed to have been molested and raped by Hillary's husband but they are ready and willing to believe a 40 year old story concerning a republican candidate.
And where did those bogus papers come from? What they said was true... A set up. Nothing like 35 years of Lies bulshit character assassination like all you dupes believe... And that includes a lot of Independants and Democrats...

Actually, I believe that pedophilia is about an attraction to prepubescent children. That does not mean any specific age, but instead a level of physical maturity. It will generally mean younger than 13, but is different on a case by case basis. :dunno:
