Why do progressive liberals fear Glenn Beck?

Sorry, son, but Beck is a clown. Rush is rather scary, because he is not a complete ignoramous, just a manipulator. The only people Beck can manipulate are the yahoos that live out on the ranch somewhere who never made it past the 10th grade, and his fellow Mormons. The only right wing conservative that is funnier than Beck is Sarah.

They fear and therefore have the need to mock Beck for the same reason they mock conservative radio and FOX news.

Because they win. The Blaze is growing at a pretty good pace while the left's MSNBC continues shrinking. They are panicking for the same reason they are so upset over talk radio and that ended up in the demise of Air America. In a competition rich environment where people have choices and search out truth and common sense the left can't compete.

Beck has proven there is a huge market for American exceptionalism and idea's based on freedom, truth and common sense. None of the ideals the left brings to the table. They can't compete in that arena and will die off if forced to try.

So yes, they are scared to death of Beck.

I would tell you that you will be assimilated, and that resistance is futile, but it is too late for that....

Targeting the U.S. With ‘Covert Activities’: Beck Investigates Soros’ Role in Worldwide Unrest

Jan. 30, 2012 Becket Adams

...

“Probably of anybody on network television, you (when you were on Fox News) went after George Soros more thoroughly and more definitively and giving a lot more details about his covert operations overseas, which is the part of the story that usually is not told,” Poe explained.

“You did more of that than, I think, anyone has ever done on network television. And, of course, I don’t know the inside story like you do, but it appears to me and I think it probably appears to a lot of people in the media and out of the media that you got punished for that. Now maybe that’s not true but that’s how it looked.”

“I think I paid a huge price for going after George Soros. But I ain’t dead,” Beck said, “Quite honestly, I thought that was an option.”

Referencing a recent GBTV Soros exposé, Beck turned to Poe for clarification, saying that Soros is “a guy who seems to either frighten everyone or control everyone.”

“Am I wrong?” Beck asked.

Watch Glenn Beck and Richard Poe discuss how deep Soros’ influence and connections run via GBTV:

“He has tremendous influence and he is a very thin-skinned person by nature,” Poe answered.

“And he seems to have a lot of powerful friends in the government, in the intelligence community, in all kinds of walks of life, and a great willingness to use his connections for personal ends. He does not like to be criticized and I have been astonished in the few years that I have been taking little digs at him (in my own little way), I have been astonished by the extent to which he will react when he is criticized even if someone’s as small as little ‘ol me,” Poe said.

“Yeah, he is very much like Barack Obama,” Beck said.

“These guys are so rarely criticized, they just don’t know how to react. When someone does it, they can’t even believe it!” Beck Laughed.

...

Soros has a “very well-developed theory of how the world should work. He believes, of course, in globalism — although sometimes he denies that he believes in globalism. He believes that we should create a new, essentially a central bank for the entire world, which issues a global currency, which would replace the dollar as the dominant current on earth,” Poe said.

“He has a very, very clearly laid out plan for globalizing the planet. And a big part of this plan, one might even say the biggest part of this plan, as he states very clearly, is to break the power of the United States which he sees as the one force which is strong enough, and stubborn enough, and sufficiently in love with its own independence, to try and stop this from happening.”

Glenn Beck Examines 1960s Radicals Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven

Published August 25, 2009 / FoxNews.com

...

Here it is in a nutshell:

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

BECK (voice-over): The Cloward-Piven strategy in a nutshell.
Left-wing radicals Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven advance their strategy to end poverty in a May 2, 1966 article in The Nation.

Cloward-Piven starts with the idea that there is a wide gap between the entitlements that poor people are eligible for and the entitlements that they are actually collecting. They say getting everybody on to the welfare rolls will wipe out poverty and the only way to accomplish that is through a massive multi-city education campaign making heavy use of the media.

So, once the poor know that they're eligible and start to sign up, what happens next? In their own words, "a crisis." A crisis that starts in the cities that would rapidly spread to a nationwide level and force the government to move quickly to create a new program for direct income distribution: Marxism.

Wait a minute — community organizations overwhelming the system that would lead to a massive redistribution of wealth? Gee, where have I heard that before?

That's Cloward-Piven strategy in a nutshell.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

BECK: I don't know if that's true. I don't know if that's what is happening. But it makes more sense than, oh, yes, we can keep spending more money and not reading the bills.

Glenn Beck ‘Horrified’ by ‘America’s Latest Propaganda Machine’

Oct. 17, 2013 8:30pm Erica Ritz

Glenn Beck on Thursday broached a topic that he said “horrified” him when it was brought to his attention roughly two weeks ago, describing it as an “effort to re-write our history and catalyze a new culture for America” with the help of “America’s latest propaganda machine.”

Beck proceeded to tell his viewers about two groups, the first called “Imagining America” and the second called “The U.S. Department of Arts and Culture.”

The latter isn’t actually a body of the United States government, but in the group’s own words, “the nation’s newest people-powered department, founded on the truth that art and culture are our most powerful and under-tapped resources for social change.”

Beck highlighted various individuals affiliated with the organizations, who he described as “the people that will be teaching and influencing your children” through “art and music and film and history books.”

Among the topics the individuals were caught on tape discussing was the fair redistribution of wealth and how “we’re funding the arts through the Cultural Development Fund, which is upwards of $20-some-odd million funding our cultural communities.”

Beck also said Imagining America was created by Bill Clinton, and that its membership now includes roughly 90 universities including Columbia University, Brown University, the University of Chicago, and more.

Many receive funds from the Soros-linked Tides Foundation, Beck added, in addition to various government grants.

“Several of the board members work closely with the government, what a surprise!” Beck remarked. “…So we have the government, radicals, and the universities, and some of their affiliates are actually public officials. They actually hold conferences and presentations about how to re-author American history, and it’s [funded] by you.”

What you fail to understand, no one fears the crazy bum in the park masturbating to Come on Eileen -- it's when then crazy masturbating bum has an audience applauding and commenting how much they "learn" from watching him... then most reasonable people do tend to get concerned...

Glenn Beck: Someone Finally Admitted Out Loud Why the Left Is Terrified of Ted Cruz

by Josh Feldman | 1:20 pm, October 23rd

Far from dismissing or ridiculing him, Glenn Beck believes liberals are actually terrified of Ted Cruz, and Beck was the first to pounce as soon as someone said out loud the exact reason why. And who was the pundit who gave away the game? None other than the fast-talking Chris Matthews.

Beck first took a swipe at the “indoctrinated” and “1984 zombie-like” masses at MSNBC before saying, “If you want to know why the left is so terrified of Ted Cruz, listen.” He played audio of Matthews unloading on Cruz, likening him to Joe McCarthy and Michele Bachmann in that infamous Hardball moment.

Glenn agrees with… socialist revolutionary Russell Brand?

10/25/13

Ok, to be clear – Glenn definitely does NOT agree the socialist revolutionary part of Russell Brand’s comments. That said, on radio this morning, Glenn argued that we must recognize the truths Brand articulated in a very candid interview with the BBC’s Newsnight.

During the interview, Brand openly call for a socialist-style “revolution” and the “massive redistribution of wealth,” he also urged people not to vote or participate in the “facade” that is modern-day politics. In his opinion, “the lies, treachery, and deceit of the political class that has been going on for generations” makes voting a pointless.

“When you hear people talking about revolution in Europe, you should be very concerned because the way revolution is understood in Europe is that the right is fascist and the left is communist. And those are your only two choices,” Glenn explained. “America has so discredited herself with progressivism over the last 100 years, nobody believes in true freedom, nobody believes in the power of the individual, that all men were created equal and endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. And everybody in Europe doesn’t look to us as an example. They say, ‘They are just like us. Just like us.’”

“So when you hear people, especially in Europe, talk about revolution, and you talk about hot revolution, people in the streets. Warning. It’s not going to end well,” he continued. “If you thought Russell Brand was a total and complete moron before, here he is sitting in a very expensive hotel room talking about how much he hates the rich.”

I fear Glen Beck as much as I fear any other right wing radical who calls me a liberal on this board.

Which is to say............................I don't fear him at all.

However, when his stupidity is broadcast on the places I see the news (internet, BBC, MSNBC, etc.), I don't fear for myself (as I have free will and can discern spun lies from the truth), I fear for those who can't.

If you follow Beck, you're even stupider than those who call themselves followers of Rush.

Rush is stupid, and Beck follows their stupidity even further and tries to paint it as the truth (much like Limbaugh does), only problem is, Beck takes it further and gets the lemmings to jump off the cliff.

So much terrifyin', so little time....

Nobody fears Mitt. Nobody fears Glenn. If Cruz or Lee got power, then the fear would rightfully flow.
