Maybe someone here an answer this, although I may have to post this on a lib board someday. Why does the left especially hate Glenn Beck? They seem to me to hate him a lot more than Rush, who is 10* more mocking and disrespectful of the left than Beck is. Levin, Savage, Hannity, etc are small potatoes to the lefty when he has his hate on for Glenn.

It seems that they are positively obsessed with him. A news article that mentions his name will have the inevitable Beck bashers frothing at the mouth, flaming away in the comments. I still haven't figured it out.

I suspect the American Left has long since figured out that people like Beck, Palin, Bachmann, Levin, Savage, Hannity and even Limbaugh are a net positive for their side.

The definition of a conservative is: A liberal who got mugged.

Eventually even the stupidest will realize that liberalism/socialism is only viable while using somebody else's money.

And when the source of that money is dried up, people like Beck, Bachmann, Levin, Savage, Hannity and even Limbaugh will be a strong positive for the right side.

Liberals love Glenn Beck. He gives them an out to not take Republicans seriously. He's only one man with his idiosyncrasies and his faults and his message, so since he has a big fan base it's easy to dismiss the right by proxy (Glenn Beck). The same thing happens with Limbaugh and Hannity and O'Reilly and any other visible and "controversial" conservative pundit. This isn't a knock against Beck, BTW. It's that liberals like to obsess and fall in love with individuals over ideas (see: Obama) and they think we're the same way. That's why they figure our beliefs about the size and scope of government are bunk. They figure we're just drinking the Kool-Aid of some pundit a la Beck instead of actually believing in it.

Have you ever played "charades"? Sometimes, one of the players is sooooooooo close to figuring out the answer..................but just falls short. When the answer is finally revealed, the idiot will invariably exclaim........." that's what I meant"!!!!

Why do Americans dislike Joe McCarthy and his legacy?

Why do normal people dislike cult leaders who mislead and brainwash their children and friends?

Why do we hold liars in low regard?

Why do history teachers disrespect those that would misconstrue historical fact, leaving out relevant context and facts, making speculative connections, and misrepresenting the words of historical figures?

In our modern, information age, those that would misused information to fear-monger and race-bait will be revealed for what they are, a mean-spirited propagandist. They will lose their jobs, be shamed out of the spotlight, like Beck was.

Someday, when Beck's children are in college, they'll be in a dorm room watching an old Youtube video of their father... Imaging the shame and humiliation they will feel...

I like Rush.

I dislike Beck because of his teary-eyed histrionics, and that feeling started before I began hearing about his convoluted conspiracy theories. I'm right-leaning, with an LDS background. I theoretically should be sympathetic toward Beck. But I'm not. He annoys me considerably.

Why do the parents of children send their kids to schools where the kids are forced to sing Obama MMM MMM like the children of the former Soviet Union were forced to sing songs about the glory of Stalin? And not only in the Soviet Union. All the enslaved Europen countries that Franklin Delano Roosevelt tossed over to his pal, Uncle Joe Stalin, in one of the most cruel and callous acts of the history of mankind.

I know what I am talking about. I was one of those kids having to sing about the glory of Stalin in communist Hungary. Talking about brainwashing!!

In our modern day and information age no teacher's words need to be taken seriously, knowing that the so-called teachers are nothing but unionized and blind indoctrinators of Obama's supremacy. And anyone who dares to disagree is a fear-monger and a racist.

When Glen Beck's children will go to college they will go there unlike Obama, on ntheir own merit, without affirmative action. And whenever the time comes, if required, they will be proud to display their record, again unlike Obama, who is, obviously either ashamed of them or they are, in fact, non-existent.

Using hazlnut's logic about the future job prospects of today's kids, I am fearful about the job prospects of Obama's kids. But of course, they will always have - just like their parents, both fear-mongering and racist propagandists - affirmative action.

(1) He follows the path of abject corruption wherever his investigation leads him.

(2) He verifies his sources

(3) His research and investigatory effort often does not reflect well on people who have done wrong and/or bent rules to suit themselves instead of the American people

(4) He doesn't back down when the money trail gets complex.

(5) Leaders who cheat people have their critics, namely those who have been cheated. Expecting someone who was badly used to stfu and lockstep causes a lot of dissension in the ranks.

(6) Glenn Beck has a lot of inconvenient truths to those who are fooled by rhetorical lying.
