Nikki Haley's husband goes into harm's way

I salute him.

Yet, while hes away......his wife just signed yet another law in SC that screws over the very men in uniform (police) who will be protecting her while he is gone.

What law is that?

Probably one that doesn't give them more of our money, I'm sure.....

Time after time we hear from liberals about how only the poor, the disadvantaged and the minorities are forced to go to war. How about this:

SC Gov. Haley's husband deploys with National Guard

'How about' you cite a ‘liberal authority’ that used the word ‘only’ when describing those serving overseas.

This example of a relatively more privileged person serving in the military doesn’t undermine the fact that indeed most who serve come from less advantaged backgrounds, as military service is often the only way out for those coming from low income families.

It also doesn’t negate the value of a debate as to why risking one’s life in war overseas is often the only option for many of America’s young people, and what that says about the state of our Nation’s education system, or the value we place on education as a Nation.

Otherwise, the premise of your argument is predicated on the fallacy of hasty generalization, and the argument fails accordingly.

Yet, you worship the husband and his colleagues....who also get paid with YOUR money, and likely going to a cozy green zone base where they'll see less danger than the typical Miami or LA street cop.

But you seem to be ok with that.

The law removes the state's contribution to the police retirement fund, and puts the entire burden on the city, county and individual officer, whereas before it was a shared contribution, meaning that South Carolina could get away with having among the LOWEST salaries in the nation for cops, but a solid retirement program in exchange. She slashed that. But would vote hard against her husband's unit taking any budget cut, cuz after all, they protect us.

Not a surprise though. America has over 10,000 murders a year. Meaning that over the last 10 years, we've had over 100,000 violent murders of US citizens. And the state and local GOP is still slashing all the money they can for cops.

Yet, they furiously support spending tens of billions......on policing the rest of the world, and training/funding police in shithole sandbox countries....all because 3,000 people have been murdered in the US by terrorists in 10 years.

100,000 not worth "our money".
3,000 is worth a blank check of our money.

Talk about fucked up GOP priorities.

Do you have any factual basis for this?Or are you just tossing out something to see if it will stick?

Since there is no conscription (draft) all military personnel are in uniform of their own choosing, nobody forced to join, but they all realize that once they signed up, they must follow orders.

You seem to forget that many of military volunteers have - for whatever reason - education that would not enable them to attain jobs that people with higher education do. So, they took the advice, and decided to try to be the best they can be, and enrolled.
The fact that they realized that serving their country even while under extreme danger, already puts them on an infinitely higher plateau than those who decided to stay home, deal drugs, collect food stamps, join gangs and vote Democrat in the hope free phones and cash from Obama's stash. They realized that military option maybe the only option out for those coming from low income families, and they were honest and brave to take that option.

And as far as education is concerned, if the unionized liberal indoctrinators, laughingly known as teachers were a bit more concerned about education of their students than their bloated tax-payer supported pension and three-month vacation each year, maybe then the students' graduation diploma would truly represent literacy and enable the students to aim higher than the military you liberal love to denigrate.

Look up on the web how John Kerry denigrated people "stuck in the military" or some such. You know, the same John Kerry who tossed his unearned medals over the White House fence.

If people realized who most of the victims and most of the perpetrators of those 100,000 murders are there probably would not be a (half) black President.

You can put a million cops on the street, if a Blood wants to kill a Crip or a Crip wants to murder a Blood, they will do it, regardless, cops or no cops, gun control or no gun control.

But let them breed with no father.

But it's okay to loan hundreds of millions to support a "Green" company that is months away from declaring bankruptcy?

Here's the other shoe.

That's the same GOP that tried to screw the city over when it needed funding to clean up after 9/11.

They were trying to "charge" us for the military presence.

Gotta love it.

Basically bullshit.

And good on you to denigrate an American Hero.

"Unearned" medals.

Gotta love it.
