Why Do Democrats REFUSE To Be Progressive?

Two things came to mind when reading other posts here and democrats REFUSE to be progressive on these subjects.

1, Democrats refuse to release KNOWN mentally ill on or in treatment to the insta-check list citing the privacy of lunatics. Would it not only be progressive but save lives if states turned over lists of KNOWN lunatics to insta-check? Those folks in Oregon MIGHT be alive if they did. He had flunked both military AND civilian tests for being sane AND was and had been IN and ON treatment.
Would it not be progressive to list him?


2, Roe VS Wade....The tech that decided that case is over four decades old. Since then DNA tests have proven those found guilty INNOCENT some released after DECADES in prison. And they support that new tech.

BUT when new tech is found that better pin points the start of life? NADA.
Speaking for myself that's NOT very progressive at all. In truth is kind of backwards. So all in all there really is nothing progressive in democrat thinking.
More like a backward barbaric narrow mindedness.

Just a passing thought or two.

And if they are on Insta-check, how is that going to prevent them from buying guns from a private party? Until you address the ready availability of guns to both criminals and the insane, you have not addressed the problem. And you "Conservatives" will not address the problem until the critical mass is reached because of the horror of the continued mass shootings in this nation creates a situation where Australian types of laws are created.

Before. The Oregon killer flunked both military AND civilian sanity tests BEFORE his gun buying. Some in California no less. Democrats have sought to protect the privacy of the insane and have refused any law that share state lists of insane with insta-check.

All they are listing is convicted felons. Had they had the MULTIPLE listing of the Army and Civilian test that he flunked his purchase would have been denied.
You also have the issue of the mother being allowed to keep guns in the house WITH the insane.

MANY states do NOT allow a felon and a gun to share the same residence. That one needs to be looked at as well. In TWO of the shootings the parents were ALLOWED to have BOTH the insane AND a firearm under the same roof.
What kind of stupid is that?

So just to clarify...

You want guns removed from all homes which have a felon or someone who is getting treated for a mental issue?

Are you going to close all loopholes from them getting a gin after that?
