It's just a minority now. But, Democrat animosity towards Israel is becoming more mainstream in the party.

Obama's openly antagonistic stance towards Israel is well documented.

Even if the party is reluctant to put a label on it, the more radical sector of the party would be more than happy to through Israel under the bus.

That's kind of my point. They don't see Obama's antagonism of Israel as wrong. They see Trumps cooperation with Israel as just one more thing to hate about him.

Jews don't have a great track record appointing kings in the Bible and electing good politicians.

In fact, read 1 Samuel 8. In it you will see the Hebrew people demand a king. God then says they are rejecting him as king and warned of the abuses that would incur, but they would not listen.
