CDZ Why are republicans opposed to HR1?

There has been much talk & much movement in some states to make changes that improve ability to vote for some & more difficulty for others. DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS. What the hell, one U S citizen one vote, why so difficult to make this happen. Sure we are ALWAYS going to get some cheaters but a small number of them are not going to change the election results. and if it is very close we have a process for that.

Do you not notice that the statement seems to only be supported by Republican attorneys generals? So its political posturing? NO decent noted.
You can't debunk their claims?

Don't expect any liberal AGs to agree with the Republicans. That would go against the Democrat Party narrative.

HR1 is a Democrat "For the Party" bill. It is NOT a "for the people" bill as claimed by the promoters.

It is so important to follow HR1 and urge elected officials to vote in favor. Time to clean and restore!

The U.S. Senate’s first piece of legislation in 2021 will be a sweeping good-government bill called the For The People Act, and it's a huge deal: This bill is the most comprehensive anti-corruption reform since Watergate, and we have a real chance to get it passed — if enough of us join the fight.

One of the most unfair things which can 'legally' influence elections and give an advantage to one of the sides is gerrymandering. If this bill offers some solutions to tackle this issue, then it is worth being at least taken into consideration.

Government write no perfect bills, Never have never will. To many things we do need in it, Cant see anyway they will work together & fix it so it works better for the many instead of the few.
