Why Are My Tax Dollars Going To Support Pbs

PBS has done more good for educating preschoolers than any other of the big three that has programs so people can laugh or cry over the human condition..Entertaining,, yet not very educating to a 3 year old...

If only it had not been taken over by lying progressive liberals hell bent on socialism.

Oh yeah, card carrying radicals, just like those of the lunatic fringe of the American Revolution....

War Is A Racket

WAR is a racket. It always has been.

"It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives."
Now check to see who makes profits from war mongering.
Tax payers money to the corporate war machine.
Next see how little effort is given to help support vets.

Oh, you want a real answer?

Sorry.

Your tax dollars go to fund PBS and what you see as their liberal agenda, because my tax dollars go to fund the military, and what I see as a conservative and warmongering agenda.

Maybe I should pay for PBS and you should pay for the military.

Of course, you know that's not how it works.

Wow you are comparing liberals trying to push their agenda with military men and women who sometimes give their lives for this country to keep us safe?? Incredible.

Yes, but we should be plundering those places we took over, not the American taxpayer...

Has anyone bothered trying to answer why taxpayers, rather than corp sponsors, should pick up the 500mil or so the taxpayers now put into the corp. for public broadcasting? You get no argument from me that if my kid was young, I'd rather she be watching Arthur or Curious George or something on PBS, rather than the absolute crapola on Disney or nick, and I'd happily agree that would put me in the minority, but it still seems that some corporation would be interested in attracting people like me.

When in college for TV production, the most popular videos were ones that didn't have the observer in an active brain mode..

No doubt. But why should the less active subsidize the more active's choice of entertainment?

LOL one big difference, progressive liberals are mostly gutless cowards. Why else do they have to lie and back stab.

You believe that a company that takes >$7 billion in taxpayer subsidies and pays so little that their employees qualify for >$6 billion in taxpayer supported welfare SHOULD BE nickel and dimeing their employees?

Why do you keep telling lies that you have been busted on dozens of times.

Walmart gets not one dime of federal subsidies

No matter how many times you tell this lie, it will remain a lie.

I don't know about that, but they do encourage their employees to be subsidized by the government.....and reap the benefit of not putting so much out on payroll.
