Nancy Pelosi nor Chuck Schumer can let Trump use Federal Government workers as pawns to extort billions out of taxpayer pockets to build a WALL that he promised over and over again that Mexico would pay for. That would set a precedent for other Presidents to do the same, and if they let him get away with this, then he would be shutting down the government every two weeks for something else he wants.

Trump is wholly responsible for the Government shut-down, there is no doubt about it.

Furthermore 9 REPUBLICAN congressional districts along the border say there is NO National Emergency. Will Hurd, Texas Republican congressman who's district cover 840 miles of the border being the most outspoken against Trump's WALL. They want to go with high tech, a much more effective, efficient way of protecting the border. Nancy Pelosi & Schumer are on board with high tech to secure the border.

No Trump continually campaigned on Mexico paying for the WALL. He is now using Federal Government workers as pawns to extort billions of American taxpayer dollars to pay for it. No one wants a WALL, including Republicans, which is why when they had a full house for the first 2 years of Trump's presidency they didn't even bring it up for a vote. This is nothing more than a political maneuver to blame Democrats for no WALL. Republicans never had any intention of ever building a 1000 mile wall. Because they don't work!
