In typical Pelosi fashion, the new Speaker of the House decided to deal with the current government shutdown by making a public spectacle out of taking a cheap political shot, unilaterally postponing the SOTU address until the shutdown is over. In response, Donald has made his own public spectacle. Waiting one hour before Pelosi was scheduled to depart for an official overseas trip, Donald unilaterally pulled the plug on it, also citing the current shutdown.
You can always count on Pelosi to sacrifice the upper hand and stoop down to their level when the Republicans go low. But the Democrats wanted her. So, just like in 2008 they get her. Enjoy it while it lasts.
