China is growing rapidly .
They will probably become the largest economy soon.

A) They are already the largest economy
B) By 2016
C) By 2020
D) By 2025
E) That's not going to happen : America will outpace their growth rate soon enough.

2025 would be the closest. It's still going to take them some time, but it is just a matter of time.

E with a reproductive rate of 1.6 children per women and as much as 30 trillion of mal and misinvestment to write down China will need at least 20 years to straighten out the current mess.

On a per-capita basis I think it will take looong before this happens . 40-50 years maybe.
On an absolute GDP measure I think this will be a lot sooner , probably by 2020, so the answer to my own question would be C.

It seems to be none of my options was correct . But the closest seems to be A.
I don't have a hard reference right now, but this is mentioned in the Kaiser report latest episode in minute 10.
Give or take one year. It seems 2015 will be the year in which China surpases the US as the largest economy in purchasing power terms.

I am not optimistic about the future. Banks seem to be handling a great amount of toxic assets, particularly related to low yield shale oil/gas companies. I am wondering if the current oil prices will harm more the USA than Rusia.

perhaps it will never happen if we too switch to capitalism. China has acheived 10% growth rates for 30 years now. Nothing on earth could be more idiotic than switching to socialism as our liberals want to do after seeing how well China has done under Republican captialism.

Edward. You missed the link , I think. China is already the greatest economic power. This is not quite a future event, but something which already happened.

China overtakes US as the world s largest economy says IMF Daily Mail Online

America could be doing great if more money is poured into education and research and less into phony investments. The glass steagall legislation must be re-enacted to stop banks from specullating in such a wild fasion.

totally stupid and liberal

1) Glass Steagall was replaced by Volker Rule

2) No expert will tell you llib soviet bureaucrats know where to invest better than the people who earned the money and therefore are investing their own hard earned money.

Do you understand?
