What's your take about the Hollywood body image?

    Hollywood sells images and dreams. BUT ... I have discovered that those body types were just normal a generation ago and earlier, if you look at very old photos of usual people. So, are the Hollywood bodies really dreams, or are they just normal, and it is the average American who drifted down into obscene obese dysfigurity? What's your take?

    The lollipops are not normal. They're generally kept thin by a diet of cigarettes, bulemia, and anorexia. They start getting plastic surgery in high school. The magazine covers are nearly always computer enhanced. They have hair weaves and botox injections. This goes for men as well as women.

    They don't look like that irl.

    I have a friend who used to supplement her income by touching up cover photos. You would be shocked.
